“We are deeply grateful for Erin, Annie, and our time at Seasons, which has had a lasting and meaningful impact on our son’s emotional and personal growth. Starting with Seasons at just one year old, our son thrived under Season’s nurturing and joyful care. He developed essential emotional skills that will benefit him for a lifetime. Erin and Annie’s dedication to understanding his needs and teaching him how to express his emotions not only shaped his early years but also brought positive changes to our entire family.

The communication skills Seasons taught him naturally extended into our home, helping us function more smoothly as a family. Their emphasis on fostering a love of the outdoors and teaching our son a healthy understanding of risk has been invaluable. Even now, he loves returning to visit and spending time at Seasons, a clear sign of the strong bond and wonderful experiences he had there.

Our time with Seasons was a joyful and and important part of our son’s educational journey. We will always be grateful for their unwavering commitment to our son’s well-being and growth.”

“My now 4-year-old has been attending Seasons since he was 20 months old, and my now 1.5-year-old has been at school since birth, as I would join the school many days. It was such a blessing to have the amazing teachers hold my new born so I could catch a nap under the trees. Usually they only have 1 “infant” per teacher as you can manage pretty much anything while wearing baby.
The children develop a pod like connection and rarely do any stray. If they do the rest of the pod goes to them. Once when my son was potty training, I asked him at drop off if he wanted to go to the restroom before playing. He trucked off to the bathroom and the pod and teacher followed before I could.
It’s different. It’s not traditional daycare. Children learn safety in the group, they learn social emotional cues and communication. They climb trees and dig in dirt and play in the sand and waves.
For my family, I wish we had known about Seasons sooner. My older children did not get this amazing opportunity. They had an amazing preschool that did a lot of outdoor play, but it’s just not the same. Kids and families need more of this!!!”

“I’m so thankful we found Seasons when we did. I couldn’t imagine a more caring, capable, and well-rounded environment for our daughter. To see them be so present, in the moment, interacting with whatever space they chose that day, is so much fun and enlightening as a parent. I’ve re-learned the value of adventure and exploration through participating and observing at Seasons. The experience is invaluable, and we are grateful to be a part of it, and happy to be reminded there is always so much to learn!”

Seasons community snack program is potluck. Each family provides enough for one serving per child attending school that day. We keep in mind the ingredient requirements (organic whenever possible, non GMO, no added sugar, artificial colors, flavors, or sweeteners). It can be as simple as apples and hummus, making a little extra for dinner the night before and bringing that to share, or as fancy as we’d like to make it.
The children feel excited to share food from home and they all get to taste different ways people prepare foods. Sometimes we’ll receive dinner that a child had refused the night before, but when they see their friends enjoying it at school, they give it another try!
This is an example of what the families provide:
Chia pudding (coconut milk, chia, cherries, cacao powder)
Magic beans (beans, olive oil, nutritional yeast, salt)
Goat cheese crumbles
Blueberries
Cherry tomatoes (from a child’s home garden!)

Seasons is a unique experience for children and families. We are a small traveling school focusing on community, connection, exploration, and wonder.
Our grounding is in nature, nonviolent communication and healthy emotional development which we achieve by listening to the children and their parents and guiding towards self awareness and clear communication. Our songs and stories reflect these heart centered values.
Our adventures are child led and we travel throughout the community exploring parks, beaches, creeks, libraries, museums, pools, anywhere we decide to visit on a given day. We get to know our community- the dog walkers, bird watchers, gardeners, swimmers, kite fliers, fishermen, first responders, and of course the garbage truck drivers!
Our goal is to support children and their families throughout their early formative years, teaching children how to clearly express their needs and clearly hear the needs of others. The children learn how to be compassionate leaders, work in coordination with others, share their ideas, and creatively find ways to work together in their community. Parents find support in the community as they navigate raising their children compassionately.
Seasons has a wait list started for January. Please contact Annie at (805)252-9075 to schedule a meeting.

Welcome back to a new school year!
This is from one of our Mamas-
“Seasons Path has been a heart-warming, adventurous and skill-building experience for my 2 year old son over the last year. Annie, who leads the SYV group, is an incredible care-giver and teacher who lets every child be themself, while teaching them how to be safe and thoughtful with their friends and in the world around them. Meeting outdoors at a park or ranch setting gives the group freedom for exploration and so much fun. I can rest assured that my son is appreciated, loved and nurtured at Seasons Path.”
Seasons SYV has one opening left for this year. Contact (805)252-9075 for a tour.
