This rangefinder from Maztech Industries came in clutch in Arizona, and did exactly what I hoped it would do. Fast, accurate ranges and ballistic solutions in an environment that supported it's use. Thanks to Bobro Engineering and their KOFN system, I can pop this thing off of the 6GT and onto the 7SAW with the push of a button and a little laser realigning and take it out into the field

That was a ROUGH couple of weeks. Literally on the drive home from AZ, I started to feel kinda sick, and assumed I breathed too much desert dust. Well, maybe not because it's been two weeks of having my ass handed to me now, and I'm still not 100%. Some sort of weird flu/cold thing. But I'm coming out the other side of it now which means getting back on the wagon, because October will be here before I know it and with it the Tac Games regionals in Phoenix...

The next 2026 field class dates have been approved for early September, so get ready! Hoping to open up an entire new shooting position for this one now that we've been hiking the complete loop. Registration to open soon!

The winning rifle duo from the Dual Platform Sniper Challenge last weekend. I'm still planning on doing a formal video about it all, just need time. Bottom line there's a few key elements here that made the difference, so here's a quick recap on that.

#1 this 6GT barrel is nothing short of magic. It just hammers, simple as that

#2 the Gen3 Razor 4-24 on the gas gun might legitimately be my pick as my favorite mid-range gas gun optic now. Spending time behind this thing made me realize just how awesome it is. I've seen the light.

#3 made one hell of a LRF that I learned I could trust and that made all the difference with getting fast and accurate bolt gun ranges/solutions while on the clock, however I'll still stress that understanding how these things work and what environment you're in go a long ways towards utilizing them properly

#4 are the muzzle brakes from and that rattled everyone else's teeth but hey, points are points and seeing my shots was worth the spotter's brain injury

And of course it can't be understated how much and contributed to round out the fi****ms package. Components so good you just *expect* them to work instead of hope they do.

Winner!! At the Dual Platform Sniper Challenge at I'll have a full debrief video about it later as that's the easiest way to collect thoughts and answer questions, but bottom line was an extremely fun event, put in some serious work, and I'd absolutely come back for more.
