Fiesta Week Highlight: Meet EF Alumna Monica! 💃❤️
Some stories come full circle.
Monica first joined EF Santa Barbara as a student in 2021. Today, she’s back in Santa Barbara living out a dream: performing with Contreras Flamenco Arts during La Fiesta Pequeña at the Old Mission!
Her connection to EF goes even deeper: her mom has been part of the EF Perú team for the past 15 years, making EF a special part of their family’s journey.
If you’re attending La Fiesta Pequeña tomorrow evening, be sure to cheer on Monica and the incredible dancers of Contreras Flamenco Arts as they help kick off Santa Barbara’s Fiesta celebrations. We’re so proud to see our alumni pursuing their dreams around the world. ❤️

El Mercado de la Guerra is open 11:00 AM–11:00 PM! Enjoy authentic Mexican food, live music, shopping, and Fiesta fun in downtown Santa Barbara. (City of Santa Barbara)
🎶 La Fiesta Pequeña begins at 8:00 PM at the Old Mission Santa Barbara. If you want a good seat, you can place your blankets and chairs starting at 10:00 AM. Enjoy mariachi, flamenco, folklórico dancing, and the official opening celebration of Fiesta!
📍Friday
Don’t miss the Historical Parade from 12:00–2:00 PM along Cabrillo Boulevard. Watch colorful floats, horses, dancers, mariachi groups, and performers celebrating Santa Barbara’s history and culture.
💃 In the evening, head to Las Noches de Ronda at the Santa Barbara Courthouse for traditional music, dancing, and Fiesta performances under the stars.
