Our beloved annual tradition was a fun filled day welcoming springtime, new beginnings, and the beauty of nature. We celebrated with hand made flower crowns, dancing around the May Pole, enjoying live music from the Glendessary Jam Band and ended the afternoon with delicious raspberry sorbet.

Here’s to honoring the seasons, nurturing creativity, and growing together. 💐

Starr King Parent-Child Workshop is now enrolling! Space is available in our summer camp and morning sessions next school year.

Our play-based program nurtures curiosity and confidence through hands-on exploration, creativity, and discovery. Families learn together as parents and caregivers participate alongside their children, gaining insights into child development while building a supportive community.

Please join us on Monday, April 6th, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Brass Bear Uptown (3302 McCaw Ave.) for a fun, family-friendly Starr King gathering! Come connect with community and enjoy some delicious food, cold drinks, and activities for the kids, including facepainting.

✨ Gong Hei Fat Choy, Happy New Year! 🐉

This past week, Starr King celebrated Lunar New Year in the most joyful ways. Together we read festive stories, tasted dumplings and sweet potato noodles (dangmyeon), and created colorful dragons and lanterns. The children also learned about red envelopes (hong bao) and their meaning of good luck and prosperity. 🧧

One highlight of the week for the children was a hands-on dumpling cooking project. They loved filling and folding them! Sharing the dumplings after our dragon dance was the perfect way to end our celebration. 🥟 🎉

This free entry, family-friendly event will transform our campus into a festive marketplace featuring face painting, snow, and kid-friendly crafts, alongside local vendors, delicious food and beverages, and a silent auction to benefit Starr King PCW.

🍁🚜 Our annual fall field trip to Stow House was a day full of laughter, learning, and adventure! The children had an amazing time feeding goats, exploring tractors, and enjoying the beauty of nature on our walk through the grounds. 🌾🐐
