It started at a stoplight.

You know those moments, you pull up and someone is standing there with a sign, asking for help.
For a long time, I’d look away… feeling a little shame when I didn’t have anything to give.

But lately, I’ve been trying something different.
I’ve been offering eye contact.

Just seeing them. Human to human.

Sometimes I have a dollar. Sometimes I don’t.
But every time I choose to see them, there’s a shift…
a nod, a smile, a soft exchange of humanity.

And it doesn’t stop there.

It’s the same with strangers on the street.
With the people in my life.
With the ones I love most.

Less distracted attention…
more presence.

Because let’s be honest, my mind wanders. A lot.
But I keep bringing it back.

And in that return, I feel it…
more awareness, more connection, more heart.

To be seen is powerful.
To truly see someone else? Even more so.

So today, look someone in the eyes.
Not in a way that feels intense or invasive…

but soft, kind, and real.

It might just be your way to a better day 🤍

Being human… your way to a better day 🤍

Last night I taught on consciousness…
and then unconsciously went 15 minutes over.

I stole time.
From another teacher. From students.

And yep — it kept me up at night.

But this is the practice.

Living the eight limbs isn’t about being perfect. It’s about actually practicing them — especially the yamas and niyamas when it’s uncomfortable.

Ahimsa (non-harming) includes respecting people’s time.
Satya (truthfulness) includes admitting when you missed the mark.
Svadhyaya (self-study) includes noticing the pattern instead of defending it.

We are meant to fall.
We are meant to say the wrong thing.
We are meant to misstep.

But we are also meant to take responsibility.

Because when we ignore it, it repeats.
When we own it, we evolve.

Being human isn’t the failure.
Avoiding growth is.

Today’s better day practice:
Notice the thing that bothered you… and let it teach you instead of shame you. 🌿

Maybe your way to a better day 🫶🏻

Approval can feel like nourishment.
Until we realize we’re starving without it.

Growth doesn’t come from being constantly praised or picked apart.
It comes from self-trust —
and from feedback that’s kind, honest, and spacious enough to let us evolve.

Less judgment.
More reflection.
More room to become.

2025 changed me in ways I couldn’t have planned.
I’m saying goodbye to old versions of myself that I deeply love.
They carried me, protected me, taught me everything they could.
And now, it feels right to step forward into something new.

These days, I prefer feeling good in the morning
more than making myself numb at night.
I listen to my body differently as it ages.
I understand now that yoga isn’t just something I do — it’s my life.
It’s my heart. My soul.
It steadies my mind and brings me home to myself.

Movement will always evolve —
I move for my muscles, I move for my heart —
but yoga is my day-to-day rhythm. Always.

Thank you, 2025, for the lessons, the shedding, the gifts.
Wishing everyone a gentle, grounded, beautiful 2026.
May we move forward with rhythm, not resolution 🤍

Yoga teachers, hot tip: take classes at the studio you teach at. Here’s why 👇
1. There’s ALWAYS something to learn.
Even if you’ve been teaching since the dinosaurs, someone will cue something you’ve never heard and blow your mind.
2. Your community sees you as a student too.
A little humility goes a long way. Plus, they love seeing you wobble in Tree Pose just like them.
3. It keeps you connected to the actual practice.
Not the playlist… not the sequence you’re stressing about… the practice. Your cup gets full, your teaching gets better, everyone wins.
4. It grows your classes.
When you show up, the community notices. You become part of the vibe, not just the person with the mic.
5. And hey… it might even be free for you.
Free yoga? I mean, come on. Why are we even still talking?

Get in the room. Get inspired. Stay human. And keep practicing. 🙃🧘‍♀️💛

I love social for business and a little fun… but nothing beats the days I need nothing from it. Unplugged feels like freedom. That’s where the magic lives. ✨
