After three unbelievable years I have decided to move away from my full time position at Implant Pathway. I will always be so proud of everything we built while I was there to help advance the careers of dentists looking to start placing dental implants. Cheers to the team I worked with as a second family to build something truly game changing! I helped train over 1,000 dentists, helped place and restore over 12,000 dental implants, and helped move the needle of dental implant education. And thanks to the 1,000+ attendees who may not realize how much the I learned from each and everyone of them! โ
โ
I met some of my best friends and biggest mentors throughout this journey, and want to thank those who heard about my career change earlier and reached out to tell me theyโre excited for whatโs next, you know who you are!โ
โ
As for whatโs next, I have lots of ideas and goals for the next phase of my career; just know Iโll be around and in the mix! Iโll be starting a scalpel for hire business around the Phoenix valley first and foremost. I canโt wait to experience a variety of offices, practitioners, and procedures as I help offices around phoenix bring surgery in house. Iโm also excited to start a podcast to follow along and share my experience of being a traveling implant surgeon. Follow now to be in the know when things launch HINT: may be a great place and time to launch a new podcastโฆ โ

Anytime Iโve started something new thereโs a mixture of anxiety and excitement, the perfect mix for growing something uniquely ME, and I canโt wait to share it with all of you. On to the next!โ

Excited to be offering a hands on workshop and a 90 minute lecture this year at the annual conference! The workshop is freehand versus guided, attendees will place implants on models freehand and guided to compare as well as deep discussion on the benefits and pitfalls of both options! Lecture Thursday afternoon is on my favorite topic, implant complications! See you there!

Weโre glad we could find an upcoming weekend to help all our implant placing and soon-to-be implant placing colleagues in Oregon. With the new Oregon state board rules mandating an implant continuum by July 1st to place dental implants, Justin D. Moody, DDS , myself, and the team Implant Pathway have put together a course tailored for Oregon doctors looking to incorporate or keep implant dentistry alive in their practices! See the link in bio and please share with any colleagues you know in Oregon!

Everything was going so well! When implant for 23 was being torqued in a small hairline fracture appeared on the buccal crest. Further investigation proved that we had partial thickness flap on 23 that we didnโt catch, leading us to think the ridge was wider at this site than it truly was. Completing the full thickness dissection showed the extent of the problem. The implant was removed and another was placed in the 21/22 site.
