Nothing says “mom life” like wishing a Happy Mother’s Day… late 🤣
Happy belated Mother’s Day 🇺🇸 to all the amazing moms, and especially to the moms in this community who value their children learning a second language and who show up every single day trying to get them to answer back in Spanish. 💪🏼
This year I also asked for 1 hour for myself 🤍 and honestly… it felt like gold. 😂
Drop 🙋🏻♀️ if you also managed to get a little time for yourself this Día de las Madres!

Since my baby was born I’ve spoken to her in Spanish.
We live in a English-speaking country, so Spanish has to come from me.
A baby’s brain never stops. 🧠 It’s never too early to start.
And when she grows, she’ll need more than I can give her alone. That’s when our Spanish classes for kids will be here:
5 native teachers
1:1 or small group
with so much heart. 💛
Are you raising a bilingual kid in an English-speaking country? Tell me in the comments! I’d love to hear your story. 👇

This year, Spanish stayed alive at home, even living in the U.S.! 🙌
These are some of the activities that made it feel natural (my top recommendation: the last one!):
🧩 Shape puzzles to talk about colors, sizes, and positions
💡 Light table play, exploring anything and everything they could imagine
🎲 Board games (like Guess Who?), perfect for building vocabulary and practicing conversation in Spanish
📅 Our daily calendar routine — weather, date, seasons, feelings…
👩🍳 Cooking together, naming ingredients and steps as we go
💦 Water play, full of language, curiosity, and fun
🦁 Safari & zoo visits, talking about animals, habitats, and what we see
✈️ Traveling to Spanish-speaking countries, where language becomes real life
🎨 Becoming artists, chatting about colors, shapes, and creations
🌿 Outdoor walks, observing and talking about our surroundings
📖 Lots of reading, supported with objects or flashcards to connect stories to real life
📱 Video calls with family far away, keeping both our bond and our language strong
Spanish doesn’t live in worksheets. It lives in everyday moments, shared experiences, and connection. 💖
Cheers to a 2026 full of bilingual moments! 🥂 Feliz Año Nuevo!

One of my goals for next year is to continue growing Spanish Desde Casa, even while I’m on maternity leave.
I’m already expanding our team with teachers who share our philosophy and approach, and I’m organizing materials and routines so that our classes keep the same quality and spirit as always. 💜
👉 If you’d like to join our team of online Spanish teachers, send me a DM!
🏡🛜 And if you’re a family interested in a free trial class, now’s the time to book it!

Otoño with its beautiful light and colors! 🍂
We’re lucky to live next to a pumpkin patch and go often. Any moment is a great chance to practice español: colors, shapes, counting, sorting by size, calabazas, corn maze, tractors… 🎃🚜
Also, in this photo there’s something new I want to share with you. Can you find it? It’s hidden! 👀
