Do you want experience in working in a professional legal setting? UCSB PLS is now accepting volunteers for the Know Your Rights and Clean Slate Clinic!

The Know Your Rights and Clean Slate Clinic partners with Good Samaritan Homeless Shelters in Santa Barbara County to help clients draft court letters for clearing criminal records. Volunteers will aid in crafting legal letters highlighting rehabilitation and personal growth — as well as gain legal writing skills, professional experience, and opportunities to interact with clients and legal professionals.

A look at our Mock Admissions Committee Exercise with Chapman Fowler School of Law!

Members learnt about Chapman’s Fowler School of Law and then took on the role of an admissions officer. They got the chance to review 3 real law school applications and learned what makes a good application.

Join us this Wednesday to hear from Justin Cruz, the Assistant Dean of Admission and Diversity Initiatives at the Fowler School of Law.

He will provide a brief presentation about Chapman's Law School and then dive into a Mock Admission Committee Exercise where we will review three actual law school applications and learn the do's and don'ts of how to build a strong application.

Dress code is business casual, so dress to impress!
