The South Coast Fencing Center

The South Coast Fencing Center South Coast Fencing Center is committed to developing successful athletes in a positive training environment.

We have introductory programs for those who want to try out fencing for the first time, intermediate programs for those looking to expand and develop their techniques, and competitive programs for those interested in competing at the regional, national and international levels. We welcome students from the ages of 7 and up, offering both group and private instruction for all experience levels. SCFC is a member of the United States Fencing Association (USFA) and was founded in 1999. We are active at the competitive level, regularly fielding athletes at North America Cups and National Championship events (see our Competitive Results section). We have a 5,400 square foot facility, with over 3,600 square feet of fencing floor on two levels. Ten fully electric strips are available to the fencers. Membership amenities include weights and gym equipment, lockers, practice targets, a study lounge for parents and kids, rental gear, a full-service armory with repair staff on site and a store for new fencing equipment.

SCFC Open Foil Circuit Challenge will be this Saturday, March 7, at 11am! We have moved from our usual Friday evening time to allow more flexibility for people who want to fence in it. As usual, this non sanctioned tournament is a mixed all ages foil event open to any fencer, regardless of experience or club affiliation - everyone is welcome. Registration is $10 and medals go out to the top 4 finalist.

The Center opens at 10am, check-in closes at 11am and the tournament will start at 11:15am. We look forward to seeing you there!
