Last Wednesday, our Hazard scholars had the exciting opportunity to experience a special assembly in honor of National Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month! We were proud to welcome the Taiko Drum Project from the Segerstrom Center for the Arts, who captivated students with an energetic performance celebrating the rich traditions of Japanese drumming through music, storytelling, and audience participation. It was a memorable celebration of culture, diversity, and community that our students will not forget!
