The curtain is rising on a new season at South Coast Repertory! 🎭

SCR kicks off its 63rd season this weekend with a 40th anniversary production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s Into the Woods, opening September 12.

The expanded nine-production 2026-27 season has plenty more ahead, including the West Coast premiere of Blind Runner, the return of the beloved holiday tradition A Christmas Carol, two world premieres, and Raymond Lee starring in Hamlet.

A longtime Costa Mesa favorite has a new home in South Coast Metro! 👢

Landers Supply House has officially opened at The LAB, taking over part of the former Urban Outfitters space. Known for its curated mix of vintage apparel, denim, cowboy boots, and distinctive workwear, the local shop has been part of the Costa Mesa community for nearly a decade.

The move brings Landers to one of the neighborhood’s most creative retail destinations, with plenty for vintage and Western-style fans to discover.

📚 Barnes & Noble is back in Costa Mesa!

The bookseller has officially opened its new flagship location at South Coast Plaza, bringing 27,000 square feet of books, gifts, toys and games, vinyl, and more to South Coast Metro. The new store also features a Barnes & Noble Café with an outdoor patio overlooking the area.

The opening marks a homecoming for Barnes & Noble nearly a decade after its former Metro Pointe location closed across the street. The new South Coast Plaza store is one of 60 locations the company plans to open nationwide this year.
