This year’s Summit for Religious Freedom (SRF), hosted by Americans United, reminded us that people are hungry not just for information, but for connection, clarity, and community. At a time when attacks on church-state separation and inclusive religious freedom are escalating across the country, SRF 2026 created space for people of all religions and none to come together around a shared commitment to freedom, dignity, and democracy.

In March AU-OC had a table at the 38th Annual Great American Write-In and gave out a number of postcards on church-state separation issues to be sent to local, state and federal legislators.

Planned Parenthood held its annual fundraising event in Costa Mesa California in March, featuring Joyce Vance as Guest Speaker.

In attendance were AUOC President Jeremy Cohen, AUOC Treasurer Mary Tromp, and AUOC VP Membership Felicity Figueroa.
