We’re excited to share that the project we submitted through the Samueli Foundation’s Community Funds has been selected for funding by the Sun Family Foundation!

This investment will help us empower young people and their families through our Banking on Our Youth program with the financial knowledge, leadership, skills, and real-world experiences needed to build economic stability, achieve upward mobility, and create lasting generational wealth within our communities.

This grant will further allow us to continue serving our underserved communities and advance our mission. We’re grateful to both foundations for investing in Orange County nonprofits and demonstrating what’s possible when philanthropy works together to create greater impact.

We were honored to welcome Dr. Stefan Bean from the Orange County Department of Education to Edward B. Cole, Sr. Academy (EBCA) for an inspiring site visit!
 
At EBCA, we’re more than a school — we’re a whole-family model rooted in relationships, community, and opportunity. From engaging classrooms and strong student connections to a powerful student arts performance, the visit highlighted how we’re building confidence, voice, and real impact beyond academics.
 
Through community-rooted, mission-driven work, we’re creating a multi-generational approach that supports both students and families—because when families thrive, students succeed.
