I do things for myself all the time, like feed myself, dress myself, sleep most nights 😂

Anger, anxiety and grief can all result from the experience of helplessness.
•
🤔 think about it… No matter what you do, you are ultimately not in control of your care receivers future.
•
In this universe called caregiving, all you can control is your choices and your behaviors. Therapy helped me tremendously with understanding this.
•
If you find yourself having a limited emotional experience, than perhaps it’s time to seek help. You might always experience some form of anger, anxiety and grief but their are so many more feelings to have as well.

By law, it is required that you take 2 10 minute breaks and 1 30 minute break per 8 hour shift!
❤️
Dear caregiver, I know you are not giving yourself adequate breaks and you need to! Learn to capitalize on the small increments of time you have to take a break!
❤️
10 minutes is not too much to ask for yourself! Find the time it takes to give yourself a breather.
