Our 7th graders had a very busy day on the water today! 💦

🤿 They kayaked this morning and went snorkeling this afternoon.

🦑 They finished up the evening with a very fun, hands on squid dissection!

Our 7th graders are off to Catalina Island for a 3 day science camp! They made it to Fox Landing through some choppy waters, enjoyed their sack lunches and went right into rock climbing, hiking and the low ropes course. They had a great dinner before their evening class on mammals. Their cabins are right at the water’s edge and they are hoping for a good night’s rest as they prepare for a day full of kayaking and snorkeling tomorrow!

Mr. Gertsen (everyone’s favorite history teacher) has some words of wisdom for us from John Quincy Adams: “Duty is ours. Results are God’s.” While our responsibility is to do what is right, give our best, and remain faithful to the work before us, the outcome is not always ours to control.

Each of us is uniquely created for a specific purpose. We can do nothing apart from Christ. (John 15:5)
