On this day, 239 years ago, 39 delegates from the United States of America met in Philadelphia to sign the Constitution—a document that would establish a new form of government and forever change the way the world views the rule of law. Led by President George Washington, the Framers of the Constitution instituted a supreme law that separated and limited the powers of government in order to protect the liberties we cherish to this day. They sought not only to address the challenges of the time but to create a document that would sustain this young nation into an unknown future.

Trinity Law School was honored to host attorney and human rights activist, Jacqueline Isaac, who gave a lecture on her work at , a non-profit legal organization dedicated to empowering vulnerable individuals globally. She sat down with the Director of the Center for Human Rights, Professor DeLoach, to discuss the meaning of justice for survivors of s*xual violence during armed conflict in the Middle East. She has been instrumental in the international fight against acts of s*xual violence during wartime and genocide.

Trinity has partnered with the Wisconsin Inmate Education Association since 2017, offering incarcerated men the opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies with a minor in Psychology at the Fox Lake Correctional Institution. Led by TIU professor, Dr. Shanthini Baskaran, the program gives this marginalized population the chance to change their lives and redefine their role in society. On June 18th, 2026, Neil Nyberg completed his tenure as Chairman of the Board of Regents of TIU, having faithfully served the University in that capacity for many years. Mr. Nyberg is succeeded by new Chairman of the Board of Regents Jim Palmer. Mr. Palmer is the President of True Sight Solutions in Orange County, California and Founder and former CEO of the Orange County Rescue Mission. He also holds an honorary Doctor of Laws from Trinity Law School. Welcome to the family, Mr. Palmer and thank you Mr. Nyberg for your dedication to our mission!
