The big focus of this lesson is creating a simple swing mantra: “Left elbow to the body, left shoulder to the ball.” That’s one fluid motion—elbow works under toward me on the takeaway, then I make a big shoulder turn so the left shoulder gets behind and then back to the ball, and from there I just let it rip without over-swinging.

ENJOY THE WALK!! 🏌️♂️🤙
Good players play golf rather than play golf swing. They imagine the shot they want to hit and then try to execute it. That’s It!! They either do it or they don’t. Then they move on to the next shot.
They Don’t think about where their hands are at the top or rotated their hips or their takeaway. Those things are for the driving range and not the golf course.
I love playing with students. They get a chance to see all my good & bad shots. But more importantly, they learn how to leave each and move on to the next. NO BAGGAGE!!
In this lesson we focused on taking your already excellent setup and swing motion and adding just a bit more turn and trust so you can create effortless power and better contact.
Going forward, your feel keys are:
❤️ Turn a little deeper into the right side (shoulders and hips).
❤️ Then trust that turn so you can extend your arms through the ball.
❤️ Let momentum carry you to a full, balanced finish.
This is mostly a confidence and trust issue now – the motion is there. Use practice swings to feel the deeper coil and long extension, then simply recreate that same motion when a ball is there.
Here’s what I want you to focus on from this lesson:
❤️ Extension on both sides of the swing: feel long, low, and wide on the backswing and even more extension on the through swing.
❤️ The right forearm works down the target line on the backswing, then hinges into an “L” at the top.
❤️ On the through swing the left forearm works down the line, with the trail arm extending out toward the target so the hands stay away from the body (no chicken wing).
In this video, I demonstrate the three ball extension drill, which is perfect for improving your iron play and full swing. This drill helps you achieve better extension, avoid fat or thin shots, and ensures you make contact with the ground after the ball for a descending blow. Follow along as I explain how to set up and execute this simple yet effective drill. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!
