On California Native American Day (September 26), we honor the first peoples of this land and recognize their enduring history, traditions, and knowledge.
Through our Title VI Native American Education Program, SAUSD remains committed to uplifting Native voices, celebrating cultural identity, and ensuring our students feel seen, valued, and connected.
This day reminds us of the importance of listening, learning, and walking together in respect and unity.

🍽️🌍 SAUSD Newcomer Summer Program 2025 🌞✨
This summer, our theme was Food & Identity — and what a delicious journey it was! 🌶️🍜🍉
Our newcomer students explored foods from around the world, reading, writing, and sharing stories that connect cuisine to culture and family. From classroom conversations to hands-on cooking experiences, students had the chance to celebrate their roots and taste something new. 🌏❤️👨🍳
