The Learning Center offers Tutoring appointments for the following subjects: Accounting, Anthropology 100, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Human Development, Mathematics, Medical Assisting, Political Science, Pharmacology Math, Physics, Sociology 100, and Writing for any subject. Our tutors are highly knowledgeable in their specific field of study and are patient and understanding of students' needs. The Center is also a great place to study before and after tutoring appointments or to set up study groups. When you come into the Learning Center to work on your Directed Learning Activity (DLA), you are able to use any of our software programs or resources such as dictionaries and hound outs, to help you complete your work. Also, your follow-up with a Santa Ana College Instructor or Tutor is your personal time to ask any questions regarding your DLA. Walk-in assistance is also offered for writing assignments in any subject. Term papers can be discussed with our tutors and specific questions answered regarding, grammar, thesis statements, outline, paragraph development, citations, punctuation, sentence structure, and conclusion. The Learning Center also offers Workshops on various topics such as MLA formatting and overview, using a TI-84 calculator, Time Management, and AutoCAD Basics. Workshop topics vary throughout the year and student feedback on the types of workshops that could be offered in the future is highly welcomed. All of the services offered through the Santa Ana College Learning Center are FREE to all Santa Ana College and Centennial Education Center students.
