Thanks to the generosity of LCEC’s Environmental Funding Award, CECI was able to purchase wildlife viewing cameras to both benefit our students, as well as to help the island conservation partners understand how animals have adapted to the environmental conditions that have changed since Hurricane Ian.

As a nature-based preschool, CECI’s students are introduced to the scientific process in a safe and controlled way that helps them better understand the animals that call our campus home. Our 5-acre property remains largely undeveloped, so there is a lot of wild activity!

The Children's Education Center of the Islands announced that it received a donation from Nanny’s of Sanibel. It donated 10% of its proceeds from Small Business Saturday to help the CECI replace materials lost and damaged in the hurricanes.

We are so honored to have had our VPK class perform at The Sanctuary Golf Club Foundation’s gala! The children had a blast showcasing their talents in front of their number one supporters. It was an unforgettable experience, and our little stars truly shined on the big stage! A heartfelt thank you to The Sanctuary Golf Club Foundation for believing in the school’s mission and supporting our island’s only preschool. Extra special thank you to our amazing staff who helped our CECI stars prepare for the big event.

Thank you to The Sanctuary Golf Club Foundation for your generosity and support as the school continues to recover from Hurricane Ian. We are so grateful to be able to give the littlest in our community the best preschool experience possible.

The Children's Education Center of the Islands announced the completion of a playground improvement project funded by The Sanctuary Golf Club Foundation. The grant funds went toward the addition of a permanent climbing structure.

What a great opportunity for nature based learning offered now at The Sanjbel The Sanibel School.

This month, the Sanibel Sea School launched a new partnership with The Sanibel School. On Mondays and Wednesdays, marine science educators pick up students after school and head to the beach. Each trip is outdoors, hands-on and fun.
