Attendance Is Belonging đź’śđź’›

Every day a student walks through our doors is another opportunity to learn, connect, grow, and belong.

When students show up, they become part of something bigger.
When they belong, they engage.
When they engage, they succeed.

At Sanger ISD, attendance is more than a number—it’s about connection, relationships, and opportunity.

Let’s work together to make sure every student knows:
You belong here. We need you here. Your presence matters.

đź’śđź’› Be Present. Be Connected. Belong.

Last Saturday, the LTHS graduation was held to celebrate and recognize our 2026 graduates. Each year, one of our graduates volunteers to give the student body speech, and this year Miss Armani White held the honor. This young lady gave an incredibly inspirational speech, and we wanted to share it with our LTHS community.

The Power of the LTHS Choice Program is the transformation and reimaging of futures for our students. Every student’s journey to graduation looks different—and at Linda Tutt High School, we celebrate that. The LTHS Choice program stands as a vital pillar in our Sanger community, providing a tailored, self-paced learning environment for at-risk students who need a different path to success.

Inspired by a vision of inclusion, the heart of this program traces back to its originator, Linda Tutt. She recognized that the traditional high school road isn’t a one-size-fits-all journey. Mrs. Tutt envisioned a sanctuary for education:

A Safe Space: A welcoming environment free of judgment where students can reset and refocus.

True Inclusion: Embracing students who have faced unique personal struggles, early parenthood, or overwhelming life challenges.

Unwavering Support: Standing by those who found school difficult but refused to let go of their dreams.

Miss White had these words for her fellow graduates: "Our path may have looked different, but different does not mean less. In fact, sometimes the hardest roads lead to the strongest people."

While the Choice program utilizes flexible, self-paced digital learning, it takes immense grit, discipline, and late-night determination from our students. Backed by an incredible staff who see the person behind the computer screen, these students aren't just finishing school—they are writing their own comebacks. Each one has an amazing story, and they are writing the ultimate blockbuster and their endings are as far as they can dream.

Linda Tutt sought to give these students the foundation they needed to graduate and step confidently into a successful life after high school. Today, we continue to see that legacy alive in every cap, gown, and diploma earned.

Join us in celebrating the resilience of our students and the vital impact of the LTHS Choice program!

Dear LTHS Families and Community Friends,

Our LTHS teachers are truly the best of the best, going above and beyond every single day to support our students. As we approach the end of the year, we are asking for help from our families and school community to show them just how much they are appreciated.

Since LTHS does not have a formal PTO or PTA, we rely on the generosity of our amazing community to make these celebrations possible. Our theme for this year is "Going Out in Style," and we’ve planned a week of themed treats to help our teachers finish the school year strong!

Teacher Appreciation Week: May 4th – 7th
We would appreciate any help you can provide to treat our staff during these daily "Style" events:
Monday: Opening Soirée – The LTHS High Tea
Tuesday: Nacho Yo Problem Style – A festive nacho bar feast
Wednesday: Chillin’ In Style – Cool treats and relaxation
Thursday: Going Back in Style to the 90s – A nostalgic throwback celebration

If you would like to contribute food, supplies, or your time to help host any of these events, please contact Assistant Principal, Kali Wood, or you can sign up for a donation here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0D4AA9A623A7FCC52-63497376-teacher or purchase something off our Amazon Wishlist: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/O65JYO5AGEO4?ref_=wl_share

This past week at our campus, we celebrated all the things we are thankful for at LTHS. A phenomenal staff, outstanding students and supportive families, and a community that donated to our campus grocery store. We had a staff Turkey in Disguise competition, handed out 67 Thanksgiving meals to families in our community, survived the 67th day of school and had a little fun with the “6-7” saying that is making the rounds with students. All in all, we counted our blessings - and what an abundance we have at LTHS!

Thank you to the SISD campuses who held food drives to stock our shelves! Thank you to the community volunteers from Walmart Distribution and Texas Health Resources who helped us pass out Thanksgiving meals! Thank you to the LTHS and SHS students who donated their time to help sort and stack food and hand out these much needed meals to families! Thank you to our LTHS families who came and shared a meal with us! Last but not least, thank you to the LTHS staff and support services staff who cooked yummy food, joined us for lunch and helped serve our meal on Thursday. We are SangerStrong and proud!

Happy Thanksgiving to all!
