One of the highlights of this setup is the extra-long working distance, giving the user plenty of room underneath the microscope for manipulating specimens and performing detailed embryology work.
The SMZ1500 is an absolute workhorse — excellent optics, a wide zoom range, and a fantastic platform for demanding research applications.

📦 Custom packing job complete! 🔬
This comparison microscope is headed to Pennsylvania, and because of its size and precision, it required a custom-built packing solution to make sure it arrives safely.
We were proud to partner with one of our colleagues on this project. Teamwork like this helps ensure our customers receive their equipment in the same condition it leaves our shop.
No matter if it's across town or across the country, we take packing and shipping seriously—because protecting precision instruments is just as important as servicing them.

🎥🔧 Sometimes you've got to call in the Munday Scientific A/V squad! Today we rotated the table to give everyone a little more room while checking out our camera systems and getting everything ready for filming.
Meanwhile, in the back, Scott, Danny, and the rest of the crew never slowed down. They were busy packing, testing, and shipping microscopes to customers all over the country. It's always a team effort around here!

📦 We Haven’t Done One of These in a While!
This shipment was a nice attempt and a good case—but unfortunately, the ex*****on fell short.
When shipping a microscope, disassembly is key. Every individual component should be securely overwrapped or placed in its own protective box before everything is packed into the main shipping container. Microscope parts should never be left loose or allowed to make contact with one another during transit.
A microscope may look sturdy, but the optics, stage, objectives, focus mechanisms, and internal components are extremely delicate. Proper packing can be the difference between a microscope arriving safely and arriving with thousands of dollars in damage.
When in doubt, take it apart, protect every piece individually, and double-box the shipment. A little extra time and packing material can prevent a very expensive repair!

Last night, a few of the Mrs. Lacy's Magnolia House crew and the Munday Scientific team got together to support another local business, and we had an absolute blast at Goodfellas Bar & Restaurant!
They host DJ Bingo several times a month, and it's a ton of fun. The DJ kept the energy up all night with a great mix of music, and the place was absolutely packed. It was easy to see why so many people come out for it.
The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We had a great time from start to finish.
If you're looking for a fun night out, a great place to grab lunch or dinner, or just somewhere to enjoy a drink with friends, we definitely recommend checking out Goodfellas. We love supporting local businesses, and we're lucky to have great places like this right here in Sanford.
