π¦ The Box Man himself, Michael Bos! π¦
Michael has been absolutely getting after it lately. Between shipping, packing, receiving inventory, helping with repairs, and keeping everything moving behind the scenes, he's been a busy man.
This is that beautiful Nikon TI-2 we showed you yesterday. Scott and Chad completed the final service and inspection, and Michael put the finishing touches on it, packed it up safely, and got it headed out the door to its new home.
A lot of what we do wouldn't happen without great people working behind the scenes, and Michael is one of those guys who always steps up and gets it done. He's been kicking butt and taking names, and we wanted to take a minute to show him some love and say thank you for all the hard work.
Drop Michael a π in the comments and help us let him know he's appreciated! π¦

π¬ Precision at work in the Mohs lab.
In this video, skin tissue is being sectioned on a cryostat at just 6 microns thick to create a complete epidermal section for the diagnosis and treatment of squamous cell carcinoma. These ultra-thin frozen sections allow the Mohs surgeon and histotechnologist to carefully evaluate the tissue margins and determine if any cancer remains.
The quality of the section is critical. A well-cut, complete epidermal section provides the clear visualization needed for accurate diagnosis and helps ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
At Munday Scientific, we understand how important experienced histotechnologists are to the success of a Mohs laboratory. That's why we offer Mohs Histotechnologist Fill-In Services for vacations, sick leave, staffing shortages, and emergency coverage.
When your lab needs support, we're here to help keep patients moving and procedures on schedule.

We loved visiting with Todd from Laboratory Optical this week! π¬
Todd stopped by to pick up a microscope and some parts for one of his customers while making his way to the coast for a little well-deserved rest and relaxation. It was great to finally meet him in person after talking and doing business over the years.
He's a fantastic guy with some great stories, and honestly, we could have sat there and talked all day! Todd and Scott hit it off right away, and it was one of those visits that reminds you how much we enjoy the relationships and friendships that this industry creates.
Safe travels to the coast, Todd, and thanks for stopping by. We appreciate your business, your friendship, and all you do for your customers. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

We had the pleasure of delivering an ACCU-SCOPE Inc. EXC-250 with Heads-Up Display to The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, and all we can say is WOW! π»π¬
Cody made the delivery, got everything set up, and the team absolutely loved it. The EXC-250 is a fantastic inspection system, but we have to admitβthe brewery itself nearly stole the show.
If you've never been to The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, put it on your list. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, the atmosphere is second to none, and it's one of those places that makes you want to stay awhile and enjoy good food, good drinks, and good company. It's easy to see why it's become such a popular destination.
We're grateful for the opportunity to help support their operation and thankful for the warm welcome from their team.
If you're in the Charlotte area, do yourself a favor and check them out. You won't be disappointed! πΊβοΈ

π¬ Another great day in the field!
Today we were in Fayetteville, North Carolina, servicing a Leica FSC forensic comparison microscope for a local police department. It's always a pleasure visiting forensic laboratories, and this one was especially nice since we haven't been there in quite a while.
Many people don't realize that comparison microscopes like this are a key piece of equipment in forensic labs across the country. They're commonly used to compare bullets, cartridge casings, fibers, hairs, tool marks, and other evidence side-by-side to help investigators solve cases.
This photo shows just one component of the system, but it's a fascinating piece of technology that plays an important role behind the scenes in forensic science.
We always enjoy seeing the unique equipment used by our customers and helping keep it operating at its best. Thanks for having us out today, Fayetteville!

π¬ Precision matters in a Mohs lab.
In this video, a cryostat is cutting frozen tissue at 6 microns to prepare a complete epidermal section for the evaluation of basal cell skin cancer. These ultra-thin sections allow the Mohs surgeon and histotechnologist to examine the tissue margins and help ensure every cancerous cell is identified.
A skilled histotechnologist is one of the most important parts of the Mohs process. When your lab is short-staffed, facing vacations, sick leave, or unexpected turnover, patient care can't wait.
That's why Munday Scientific offers Mohs Histotechnologist Fill-In Services throughout the region. Whether you need emergency coverage, temporary staffing, or planned vacation relief, our experienced professionals can help keep your lab running smoothly.

ππ¬ Munday Scientific Shipping Fail of the Week! π¬π
We haven't done one of these in a while, so we're starting the week off right!
This beauty came in this morning on a pallet of equipment, and honestly, we're still scratching our heads. π€ While it definitely wasn't shipped correctly, somehow it survived the journey completely intact. No broken flanges, no major damage, no missing pieces... just pure luck and maybe a little microscope magic. π
Every week we see some creative packing methods, but this one was certainly memorable. If you've ever wondered why we preach proper packing and shipping procedures, this is exactly why!
The good news? The equipment made it safely, and it's shaping up to be a great week.
π The Hurricanes win.
βΎ The Heels win.
βοΈ The sun is shining.
π¬ Microscopes are rolling in.
