🔬🤝 Always great to put a face with a name!

We had a nice visit from Tom with SEO Enterprises, a Nikon microscope dealer in Florida! Tom was in the area and stopped by to see us, and it was great to finally meet him in person after knowing each other through the microscope business.

We always enjoy catching up with others in our industry, talking microscopes, and building relationships with good people in the business.

🔬 That sure is a good-looking Olympus compound microscope equipped with phase contrast!

Phase contrast is an optical technique used on compound microscopes to make clear, transparent specimens easier to see without staining them. It increases contrast so structures that can be difficult to see in standard brightfield really stand out.

🧫 Phase contrast is commonly used for live cells, cell cultures, bacteria, microorganisms, and other transparent biological specimens.

It’s especially valuable when you want to observe living specimens without staining or altering them.

🔬🥧 Picking up a microscope AND a pie… what a lucky day for Dewey! 😂

Our good friend Dewey with Southern Microscopes stopped by today. Dewey is not only one of our closest colleagues and friends, he’s truly one of the best in the microscope business. We’ve known and worked alongside him for years, and we’re always thankful for the friendship and support.

And Dewey supports Mrs. Lacy’s Magnolia House too, so of course we had to make sure he left with one of his favorites — a homemade Coconut Custard Pie! 🥥🥧❤️

Microscopes and coconut pie… sounds like a pretty good day to us! 🔬😋

🔬 Another day in the Research Triangle Park!

We had the pleasure of visiting a client in RTP to perform a calibration and training on their Motic microscopes. This equipment had recently been transported from another location, so it needed to be recalibrated and recertified to make sure everything was performing properly.

Along with completing the calibration, we spent some time training the staff and making sure they were comfortable with the equipment.

Thank you to Motic for the opportunity and continued support! We’re always glad to help keep laboratory equipment calibrated, certified, and ready for research.

🔬 Quick run out to the western part of the state today to show off and service a LOT of metallurgical microscopes!

We got our hands on several beautiful systems and made sure everything was looking and performing like it should. These metallurgical microscopes sure can produce some incredible images! 🔬🔥

And even though we didn’t work on the Keyence, we have to give credit where it’s due — it had a GREAT image! 👏

Another good day in the field doing what we do best: keeping microscopes working and helping our customers get the most out of their equipment.

🔬🎓 Remember that multi-head microscope we showed you in a video a couple of weeks ago?

Well, it officially made it to its NEW HOME in Georgia! 🍑🙌

This system is going to get a TON of use, and we know the students are going to love learning on it. There’s nothing quite like a multi-head teaching microscope — everyone can view the same specimen at the same time, making it an incredible tool for education and hands-on training.

We love seeing these systems get a second life and head into classrooms where they’ll be used for years to come! 🔬❤️

🔬🔥 THIS ONE IS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! 🔥🔬

This Olympus BX53 might be one of the most beautiful metallurgical microscopes we’ve ever sent out at Munday Scientific.

There’s just something about a BX53 configured for metallurgical work that looks as good as it performs. This system is headed out to its new home, and we’re going to have a hard time watching this one leave the shop! 😂

We love putting these systems together, testing every function, and making sure they’re ready to go to work for many years to come.

🔬 Another microscope delivered, installed, and ready to work in Minnesota!

Last week, we sent this Olympus IX51 inverted microscope with phase contrast to a new startup drug manufacturer in Minnesota.

Our friends at Blais Microscope completed the local installation and will be taking over the preventative maintenance contract moving forward. David and his team did a great job getting everything set up, and the finished setup looks great!

This is a perfect example of how we work with microscope professionals across the country to make sure our customers have great equipment AND dependable local service after the sale.
