Our 6th grade Social Studies students demonstrated thoughtful research and creativity through their Underground Railroad Project. As part of their study of 19th-century American history, students explored the courage, resilience, and determination of those who risked everything in the pursuit of freedom.
Through presentations and creative projects, students highlighted important routes, safe houses, and historical figures who played vital roles in helping enslaved people escape to freedom. This meaningful project helped bring history to life while deepening students’ understanding of this powerful chapter in our nation’s past. Excellent work by our young historians!
