Give Like Dolly!

Only TWO DAYS until Give Like Dolly Day📚💛
This Friday, September 25, we're joining the movement to celebrate the power of books, reading, and giving back — right here in Lee County!

Through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, children receive a new, age-appropriate book mailed directly to their home each month at no cost to their family 📖📬

There's something pretty special about a child opening the mailbox and finding a book addressed just to them. Those monthly deliveries help children build their own home libraries while creating opportunities for families to read, learn, and make memories together.

Here in Lee County, Partnership for Children & Families helps make those books possible — and community support plays an important part in keeping the pages turning.

🎯 Our goal is to raise $5,000 for Lee County's Imagination Library!

We've already had some wonderful community members choose to Give Like Dolly, and we are so grateful. But we're not done yet!

✨ You don't have to wait until Friday to give.

Every gift, no matter the amount, helps us continue putting books into little hands and investing in Lee County's youngest readers.

Can't donate right now? Share this post! Helping us spread the word is another great way to support our campaign.

Give Like Dolly. Give the gift of reading.

The Pumpkin Who Ate Too Much Candy | STEM Halloween Activity for Kids

This is similar to the pumpkin activity I shared earlier this week, but with a fun Halloween candy twist. You can even do this activity with apples by simply scooping out the center. Kids will love it, talk about it, and it might even spark their interest in STEM.

Thanks to our friends at North Carolina Cooperative Extension- Lee County Center for these apples from Millstone Creek in Randolph County! We’ve been promoting healthy eating and locally grown apples!
