⚕️ FREE SPORTS PHYSICALS FOR ALA ATHLETES! ⚕️
Aviator Nation, we're excited to partner with Goshen Medical Center to provide FREE sports physicals for our student-athletes this Thursday from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM at Ascend Leadership Academy!
Goshen Medical Center will have their mobile medical unit on campus and ready to help our athletes prepare for the upcoming sports seasons. The mobile unit will be located outside Building B.
📋 Important Information:
✅ Parents must complete the required physical paperwork prior to the exam. English and Spanish forms are available.

✅ Printed copies will be available on-site for families who are unable to print at home.
✅ Athletes will first visit the nurse's station for vitals before completing their physical with a provider in the mobile unit.
✅ Need help setting up DragonFly? We will have staff available with computers to assist parents in creating accounts and uploading completed physicals.
✅ A waiting area will be available for athletes and families.
⏰ Please plan accordingly. Goshen Medical Center has advised that wait times may occur as this event can become very busy.
We are incredibly grateful to Goshen Medical Center for supporting the health and success of our student-athletes and helping ensure our Aviators are ready for competition!

🏈🏆 CHAMPIONSHIP GAME RECAP 🏆🏈
What an incredible season for our ALA Middle School Girls Flag Football Team!
In their very first season, our Lady Spartans stepped onto the field with little to no football experience. Many of these young ladies had never thrown a football, caught a pass, pulled a flag, or run a route before February. Yet through hard work, determination, and a commitment to getting better every single day, they earned a spot in the Championship Game of a competitive 14U league.
On Saturday, the Lady Spartans faced the talented Lady Ravens in the Championship. Battling injuries, summer vacations, and a short roster, our girls never quit. They fought until the final whistle and left everything they had on the field. While the final score was 21-8, the Lady Spartans are bringing home a Championship Runner-Up Trophy to the ALA trophy case—and that is something to be incredibly proud of.
Lady Spartans, your coaches could not be prouder. You showed up to practices, worked through mistakes, learned an entirely new sport, and grew into a team that competed for a championship. You proved that heart, effort, and teamwork can take you farther than anyone expects. This is only the beginning, and your future is incredibly bright.
And to our parents—THANK YOU. Rain or shine, you got your athletes to practice. You traveled more than an hour for games. You brought tents, snacks, drinks, cameras, and endless encouragement. You cheered every catch, every flag pull, and every touchdown as these girls learned and grew throughout the season. You are the backbone of this program, and we are so grateful for your support.
Congratulations, Lady Spartans! Your first season has set the standard for those who will follow. The future of Girls Flag Football at ALA is soaring high!

Ascend Leadership Academy is excited to announce that on Thursday, June 11th from 3:00PM–6:00PM, Goshen Medical Center will be ON CAMPUS providing FREE sports physicals for ALL ALA student-athletes! 👏
We strongly encourage EVERY athlete to attend — even if your current physical is still valid. Getting your updated physical now will help ensure you are fully cleared and covered for the entire 2026–2027 athletic school year across all sports programs.
📍 More detailed information and a formal flyer will be shared soon through coaches and TalkingPoints, including the exact location on campus (currently planned for multiple classrooms in Building B).
🏟 Coaches — please encourage all athletes to attend and, if you already have workouts scheduled during that time, plan to incorporate physicals into your practice schedule.
We would also love for all coaches and members of the Athletic Committee to attend as we kick off the 2026–2027 athletics year strong while promoting our growing Aviator Athletics programs and community spirit! 💙✈️

Today, Aviator Nation proudly celebrates Coach Donna Taylor for being recognized as a Mid-Atlantic Region Award Winner by Positive Athlete North Carolina!
Coach Taylor embodies what it means to lead with purpose, faith, and compassion. Through her dedication to Ascend Leadership Academy and our student-athletes, she has built more than a basketball program—she has helped shape confident leaders, strong competitors, and young people of outstanding character.
Her impact reaches far beyond the scoreboard, inspiring those around her to strive for excellence both on and off the court. We are incredibly grateful for her commitment to our students, our school, and our community.
