Wonderful advice. 🙌🏽
Share Your Own Failures
Being relatable as an instructor is very important. Being relatable as a parent is also very important.
Children often see those whom they respect as being powerful figures in their lives. They fail to see that those powerful figures have failed and have still succeeded. Those powerful figures fear and have feared but have still pressed forward in spite of the fear to achieve their best.
Share those experiences with the students so that they can relate better with you and so that they know that they are not experiencing what they are feeling alone.
Instructors aren’t just role models for success—we’re also examples of resilience, humility, honesty, and persistence.
When we share our victories also share our failures. Allow for the children to know that failures and fear are part of life…just like victories and success.

"Using acetaminophen during pregnancy may increase children's autism and ADHD risk." Andrea Baccarelli, dean of the faculty at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and professor of environmental health noted that his research found “evidence of an association” between prenatal exposure to acetaminophen and neurodevelopmental disorders. “That association is strongest when acetaminophen is taken for four weeks or longer,” Baccarelli said.

"Mount Sinai Study Supports Evidence That Prenatal Acetaminophen Use May Be Linked to Increased Risk of Autism and ADHD." While the study does not show that acetaminophen directly causes neurodevelopmental disorders, the research team’s findings strengthen the evidence for a connection and raise concerns about current clinical practices.

Mount Sinai Study Supports Evidence That Prenatal Acetaminophen Use May Be Linked to Increased Risk of Autism and ADHD | Mount Sinai - New York
Researchers at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai have found that prenatal exposure to acetaminophen may increase the risk of neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), in children. Did you know that our bodies don’t age at a steady pace? A groundbreaking study published this summer reveals that aging accelerates most sharply between the ages of 45 and 55, especially in arterial tissues like the aorta, meaning midlife is a critical juncture for maintaining health. One protein, GAS6, was pinpointed as a key player—when introduced into mice, it caused early signs of vascular aging and systemic decline
✨ Why this matters:
• Vascular aging contributes to cardiovascular risk, reduced stamina, and slower recovery from exercise.
• Recognizing this tipping point empowers us to proactively adopt lifestyle strategies that preserve arterial health.
⛑️ Here’s what you can do now:
• Embrace heart-healthy foods — think potassium-rich choices like avocados and bananas, which recent trials show can reduce heart issues by about 24%
Stay active — consistent exercise isn’t just for weight control; it also supports heart recovery and slows aging impacts .
Let’s make a launchpad for longevity, not a turning point toward decline. Science gives us both the warning and the tools, now it’s up to us to act!

On July 4, 2025, at 4am the Guadalupe river surged between 26-30ft in less than an hour. Camp sites were washed away, families…were washed away. The extent of damage and lives lost are still unknown.
If you are looking for a way to get involved in helping this is a reputable site offering both donation and labor options.
Keep first responders, survivors and the families of the lost in your prayers. ❤️🩹

Oh Texas. I have been walking around heartbroken all day. At least 49 people already gone and 27 daughters missing from Camp Mystic. The camp director died trying to save them. I want to wail in the streets.
One of my besties with boots on the ground for Texas disasters said one of the best places to donate is which formed in response to the 2018 flood. This is their community and they mobilize churches, partner agencies, and volunteers to respond to their neighbors in crisis. I’ll put a link to their site below.
Holding every family waiting or already grieving so close to my heart. What a tragedy. We love you, Central Texas. We are gutted with you.

Have you heard? ⚡️🫗
A recent study published in Nature by researchers at the University of Rochester has raised concerns about taurine, a common ingredient in energy drinks like Red Bull and Celsius. The study found that taurine may fuel the growth of leukemia cells by promoting glycolysis—a process that provides energy for cell proliferation. In experiments involving mice and human leukemia cells, blocking taurine uptake slowed disease progression, suggesting potential therapeutic avenues.
While taurine is naturally produced in the body and found in foods like meat and fish, its supplementation through energy drinks and other products could pose risks, especially for individuals with leukemia. The researchers recommend ⚠️caution ⚠️in consuming taurine-rich products and suggest further studies to assess its impact on cancer progression.
It’s important to note that this research is in its early stages, and more studies are needed to fully understand the implications of taurine consumption on cancer risk.

In the mean time! I might reduce your consumption especially if it’s a daily staple for you. Excess of energy products can kill your adrenal glands, damage your metabolism, and organs and stress your cardiovascular system.
A better alternative is black coffee ☕️
I know it’s not all the rave, and lacking your full bodied creamers and flavors but it’s in its healthiest form and still full of antioxidants and ergonomic benefits. 🫶🏼

💊Most supplements are either underdosed, mislabeled, or flat-out unsafe.
💊According to a study, 89 percent of dietary supplements tested did not accurately list their ingredients.
❌Nearly 1 in 3 contained banned substances like steroids, stimulants, or hormone modulators. And these weren’t shady products sold in back alleys — they were found on Amazon, health store shelves, and even promoted by influencers.
In another study, researchers purchased 30 popular supplements directly from Amazon. They found that 17 were inaccurately labeled, 13 were misbranded, and 9 contained undeclared ingredients. That means you could be taking something harmful without even knowing it — and it happens more often than you’d think. The supplement industry is lightly regulated in the U.S., which means manufacturers don’t have to prove their product works (or that it’s safe) before selling it. That’s why choosing a trustworthy brand is the most important decision you can make.

💊If you like supplements, try some all natural stuff to aid in your bodies NATURAL processes NOT alter them. You could regret it when you’re older! And messing with hormones is not for the faint of heart! ❤️
TRY: Creatine, turmeric, collagen, biotin, BCAA’s, probiotics, ashwaganda , and so much more that work WITH your body on a natural level. 🫶🏼

In times of disaster, providing nutritious food is essential for both survivors and rescuers, as the body needs proper fuel to function optimally. Foods like granola bars, apples, oranges, bananas, beef jerky, whole grain crackers, and trail mixes are packed with the right balance of healthy proteins, fats, and carbohydrates that the body requires for endurance and recovery. While convenience may be a factor, sugary, processed foods can do more harm, reducing energy levels and weakening the body’s ability to respond. Choosing nutrient-dense options supports better overall health and resilience.
Consider the following when donating supplies for disaster relief:
Granola bars, protein bars, nutragrain bars, apples, oranges, bananas , beef jerky, water, Gatorade, pedialite, pop top canned goods, tuna/salmon packets, peanut butter and jelly, almond butter, whole grain crackers, instant oatmeal, trail mixes , dried fruit.
THINK ENDURANCE, NUTRITION, substance.
