This week, preschool friends in all classes learned all about Earth Day & the importance of recycling!
We got creative making sun catchers, painted using recycled materials, and enjoyed snack and lunch time outside in the fresh air.
We also went on nature walks to collect special treasures to paint. It was so much fun exploring together!
It was a beautiful week to slow down, enjoy the outdoors, and appreciate all that God has created for us.
Spring has sprung at SLP! 🐰🌺🪺☀️

SLP will be closed tomorrow. Stay safe!
Lee County Schools will be closed to students on Monday, March 16, 2026. Staff will have an optional workday, and all school activities scheduled for Monday are canceled.
The National Weather Service has placed our area under a Level 4 (out of 5) risk for severe weather, including the potential for damaging winds, large hail, and tornadoes. The period of elevated risk is expected to coincide with dismissal with buses transporting students home from school.
We understand that school closures can be disruptive for families, but the safety of our students and staff must remain our top priority. Closing schools allows us to reduce travel during the hours when severe weather is most likely.
Please stay safe and ensure you have multiple ways to receive weather alerts and updates from the National Weather Service in Raleigh and local media.
