Saint Andrew's Conservatory of Music

Saint Andrew's Conservatory of Music Training tomorrow's musicians for the church, the community, and the world, for the glory of God. In 2009 we moved to a new, larger facility.

Since 2002, Saint Andrew’s Conservatory of Music has been a unique training program for musicians of all ages in Central Florida. Originally conceived as a music camp, SACM has expanded into several instrument areas. Among them are piano, cello, violin, piano, voice, flute, brass, harpsichord and organ. We are not content merely to offer outstanding private instruction; we have added a Church Musi

c Certificate program for adults as well as Group Ensembles, educational courses such as music theory and composition, and our Saturday series events which are free and open to the public. Along the way we have managed to provide local students with an outstanding faculty. Our instructors are confessing Christians who take their mission as teacher/performers seriously. They are experts in their individual fields who weekly mentor tomorrow’s musicians with care and wisdom. We can easily host classes, multiple private studios, performing venues and conference events. Not only are the facilities ideal, but the location is easily accessible for busy families. Saint Andrew’s Conservatory of Music is indeed a logical choice for students who are serious about music. Join us this Sunday evening, December 22, at 5:00 p.m., for a service of Choral Evensong. The Saint Andrew's Chapel Youth Choir, accompanied by a chamber orchestra, will present Vivaldi's Gloria. The service also includes canticle settings by George Dyson and choral responses by Rachel Aarons. Choral evensong is a sung service of Evening Prayer which revolves around the Psalm of the day, Old Testament and New Testament scripture readings, the biblical canticles (the Magnificat of Mary from Luke 1 and Nunc Dimittis of Simeon from Luke 2), prayers, and a brief homily. The tradition of Evensong dates back to the time of the English Reformation and the publication of the Book of Common Prayer in 1549.
