Yesterday a few of my students competed in a Sambo 5 man team event. I am very impressed with everyone’s stand up progress. They went against collegiate wrestlers and high level competitive judo guys (brown/black belts) and totally held their own.
Two orange belts, a green belt, a brown belt, and a 14 year old boy with a blue judo belt. Did we win this tournament? No. Did they command respect and uphold the values of Judo? Absolutely. I am one proud Coach!
