Learning is a little sweeter with candy!

Students in Mrs. Quiggle’s class participated in a hands-on activity using candy to explore the difference between renewable and non-renewable energy sources and discover why conservation matters.

Through the activity, students saw how quickly limited resources can be depleted and why making thoughtful choices about how we use our natural resources is so important.

Hands-on learning + science + candy = a pretty great day at CCA!

Interested in joining the Central Carolina Academy Soaring Eagles for the 2027–2028 school year? Now is the time to apply!

📅 Application Period: October 1, 2026 – January 16, 2027
⏰ Applications close at 5:00 p.m. on January 16

Families should complete the online application through Lotterease during the application period. Please be sure to provide complete and accurate information, including current contact information, as it will be used throughout the application and enrollment process.

Learning looks a little different on a beautiful day!

Mrs. Pilson’s class took their reading outside to enjoy the sunshine and added a little exercise along the way!

Students combined reading and push-ups for a fun cross-curricular lesson that kept both their minds and bodies active!

Lace Up for a Spooktacular 5K!

The Central Carolina Academy Theatrical Arts Department invites you to our 5K Halloween Fun Run on Saturday, October 17th at Kiwanis Park in Sanford!

🕖 Check-in: 7:00 AM
🏃 Run: 8:00–10:00 AM
💵 Entry: $10 — children 2 and under are FREE!
🎭 Costumes are encouraged! (No masks, please.)

Come dressed in your Halloween best, enjoy a fun morning with our CCA community, and support our talented Theatre students.

Bringing Literature to Life!

Today, Mrs. West’s 7th grade ELA students welcomed Renee Meraz, LPC, LCMHC, who shared her experiences working with unaccompanied minors at an immigration shelter near the U.S.–Mexico border in El Paso, Texas.

Her firsthand perspective gave students a meaningful real-world connection to Refugee by Alan Gratz, which they are currently reading in class. Renee helped students better understand the challenges, uncertainty, courage, and resilience experienced by young people seeking safety in a new place.

We are grateful to Renee for sharing her experiences and helping our students connect literature with the world around them!

Central Carolina Academy is proud to announce that, for the second year in a row, CCA has been recognized by the NCHSAA as an Ejection-Free School!

CCA Athletic Director Riley Bohn accepted the 2025–2026 Ejection-Free Certificate of Achievement today at the regional athletic directors meeting.

This recognition reflects something we value deeply at CCA: sportsmanship, character, respect, and integrity. Our student-athletes and coaches understand that representing the Eagles means competing hard while representing our school and community with pride.

Congratulations to our student-athletes, coaches, families, and Athletic Director Riley Bohn for helping establish a culture where character matters just as much as the final score!

EAGLES SOAR TO A 6–2 WIN!

What a night for CCA Soccer!

Our Eagles were fired up from the opening whistle and delivered a huge home 6–2 victory over Chatham Charter! The Blackout atmosphere was incredible, and our students SHOWED UP, bringing the energy, cheering on their team, and making it a great night to be an Eagle!

We’re proud of this team, proud of our students, and proud of the positive energy surrounding CCA right now!

The Eagles are flying high, and the view looks pretty good from here!

Bringing Ancient Greece to Life at CCA!

Mrs. McCusker’s 9th Grade Honors World History students in both 1st and 4th blocks have been diving into the fascinating world of ancient Greek mythology through their Greek Deity Poster Project!

Students researched Greek gods and goddesses and transformed what they learned into creative, informative posters showcasing each deity’s history, symbols, powers, and significance in Greek culture.

We love seeing our Eagles combine research, history, and creativity to make learning come alive!

Yesterday morning, CCA students and staff gathered for See You at the Pole, a special time of prayer, fellowship, and encouragement before the school day began.

A big thank you to Kevin Spivey, who did a wonderful job leading and to Mrs. Pilson and our FCA Club for organizing this meaningful event!
