Our seniors celebrated their Senior Breakfast today, marking the official start of their final year as their college courses kicked off this week!

They signed the rock, checked another item off the Senior Checklist, and officially stepped into a year full of “lasts.”

Here’s to soaking up every moment, Class of 2027. The countdown is on, but there’s still so much ahead. ❤️💙

Anatomy Class Got Into a Pickle Today!

Dr. Bryan’s Anatomy students put their dissection skills to the test today, with pickles!

Students used pickles to represent the many layers of the human body while learning about anatomical planes and practicing the importance of carefully following directions during a dissection.

It was a creative, hands-on way to turn an important anatomy concept into a memorable learning experience. This is what learning looks like at CCA, hands-on, engaging, and FUN!

We have discovered that some of the new ASUS Chromebooks issued to students this year may need a ChromeOS update. If your Chromebook is freezing, Gmail isn't working correctly, or you're experiencing other issues, please try updating your device tonight.

It’s easy!

1️⃣ Connect your Chromebook to your home Wi-Fi and plug it into the charger.

2️⃣ Log in and click the time in the bottom-right corner.

3️⃣ Click the ⚙️ Settings icon.

4️⃣ Select About ChromeOS.

5️⃣ Click Check for updates.

6️⃣ Let the update completely download and install. (This may take several hours, so let it run overnight)

7️⃣ When prompted, click Restart.

🔄 After it restarts, check for updates again. Some of our new devices are several updates behind and may need to complete the process more than once.

⚠️ Please do not shut down the Chromebook while an update is installing.

If you are still having issues, come see Mrs. Tatum.

WHAT A FIRST DAY AT CCA!

A few opening-day glitches? Of course! 😅 But once our students were in their classrooms, the magic happened! ✨

❤️ Relationships started.
📚 Learning happened.
😄 Laughter filled the classrooms.

This morning, our seniors gathered to watch the sun rise together — the largest senior class in Central Carolina Academy history.

There couldn’t have been a better place to begin than at Mr. Batten’s home, where Mr. Murray shared a message of wisdom, reminding our students that this final year is about more than earning a diploma. It’s about growing in character, seeking wisdom, leading with purpose, and becoming the people they have been called to be.

As the sun came up, so did the possibilities.

To the Class of 2027: this is your year to soar. Pursue wisdom. Lift one another up. Lead with humility. Leave this place better than you found it. Your Eagle family will be cheering for you every step of the way.

Here’s to one last first day, lifelong memories, and a year worthy of 76 Soaring Eagles.

Important Chromebook Update

We are excited to welcome our students back for the first day of school tomorrow!

Unfortunately, due to an unexpected network issue affecting our student devices, we will not be able to distribute Chromebooks during 1st Block as originally planned. Our technology team is actively working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, and we will share an update as soon as devices are ready for distribution.

While this is not the start we had planned for our Chromebook rollout, tomorrow is still going to be a GREAT first day! Our teachers are ready, our staff is excited, and we can't wait to welcome our Soaring Eagles back to campus for an amazing year!
