Thank you to B&W Auto for being a drop off site starting NOW!! We will have a trailer to drop cans off at the school starting October 1st.

A HUGE thank you to B&W Auto Specialist here in Sandyville for kindly offering to be a drop-off location for our aluminum can collection! 🥫💚

If you’ve already started collecting cans and need somewhere to drop them off before our collection bin arrives at the school in October, you can take your cans to B&W Auto Specialist.

They’ll collect the cans and bring them to the school bin once it’s available!

Gilmore Families!!

We are so excited to let you know that our scores from this past year are out and Gilmore Elementary did AMAZING scoring better than 94% of other elementary schools in the state at 22 out of 355 elementary schools!! That is an amazing achievement! We are so proud of our students and can’t wait to start another year!

Also, Jackson County Schools ranked #1 in the state out of all 55 counties!!

Great things are happening in Jackson County Schools and at Gilmore Elementary! Go Pirates!! 🏴‍☠️

The Gilmore Elementary PTO is excited to support our school's participation in the Million Cans Recycling Contest!

🗓 Contest Dates: October 1 – April 30
Start saving your aluminum cans now! Beginning October 1, you can bring your cans to the collection dumpster at the school anytime during the contest.

Every can donated helps: 💚 Support recycling and protect our environment 🏆 Earn our school points in a nationwide competition 🛝 Raise money toward a new playground for our students!

No donation is too small—every can counts! Please help us spread the word by sharing this post with family and friends.

Gilmore Elementary is helping the environment this year!! 🏴‍☠️

♻️ Our third grade class is going to be in charge of the Million Cans Recycling Contest where we will be saving any and all aluminum cans for our school!!

🤝 We are asking for YOUR help!! This contest will be instrumental in helping us build a NEW playground this year!!

❓ How it works: Do you drink from a can and don’t know what to do with it? Come by the school starting October 1st and we will have a large dumpster just for cans but start saving now!! You can drop these off any time, any day!

🥇 We will be in a contest with 80 other schools across the United States and will be working to get 1st place! We get money for all cans donated and additional funds for winning.

We are also so excited to be partnering with ConStellium for this project!

Let’s save the Earth and help our school all at the same time! 🌍
