Stones Of Strength Recap!! 💪🪨🏆
I won 1st place and hit 2/3 PRs that I set for myself! 🙌
I truly had every advantage going into this competition and am so grateful to all of my strong, stone lifting friends for helping me train for it the last 6 weeks.
Chris Crofts and Nicole Crofts thank you for inviting me to come lift at your house each week and for inspiring me to compete again.
Also want to thank Rossco and Troy Kostelecky for gifting me stones to practice with at home and an abundance of tips and feedback.
Another shout out to Justin Kostelecky for weekly encouragement/tips/hype and Erycka Kostelecky for multiple post training meals. 😋
And even though she is not on social media, shout out to my friend Kaitlyn for signing up last minute so I had someone to compete with.
I am eternally grateful for all of my friends, family members and clients who showed up to cheer me on the day of the competition.
Your presence and encouragement meant the world.
Special shout out to my incredible husband mrc wkr who is always so supportive of the crazy sports I choose to engage in. 💓
Event 1: Overhead ladder press 57lb, 70lb, 80lbs and 95lbs! PRd getting all 4 in a row. There was a 125lb stone there but I knew better than to waste my energy on it.
Event 2: 25ft Stone carry with 125lbs and 143lbs. Believe i got it in less than 22 seconds
Event 3: Max stone to shoulder: 140,149 and 169 lbs! Last attempt was a 20lb PR
Event 4: Max Load to barrel: 202lbs, 222lbs and a failed 251lbs (I'll get it one day)
Event 5: Stones throw 26lbs; yeeted that bitch and hoped for the best 😅
Utah Heavy Athletics put on a great competition and I definitely hope to do it again next year.
