A key force in Alta High's on-the-field arsenal is Thomas Deckhart, who is one of the Deseret News' Top 20 Performers for Week No. 3 of the Utah prep football season. Deckhart had a standout week in the match-up with Granger High under last week's Friday Night Lights. The News lauded Deckhart's seemingly unstoppable effort, especially in the second quarter. That is when Deckhart returned two interceptions for touchdowns on the way to the Hawks' 49-0 rout of the Lancers. The Hawks have been putting in the hard yards all week in preparation for tonight's battle with the tough Davis Darts. The Hawks, who have started strong with a 3-0 record, hit the field at home at 7 p.m.
