We had such a JAW-some time with Mr. Van D**e at our All Pro Dads meeting this morning. Students and Dads learned how reading together can not only build academic skills, but enhance family relationships as well. Thank you all for coming and we will see you at our next meeting on Friday, Nov. 6th at 7:30 am. SHARK IT!!

Lo pasamos de maravilla con el Sr. Van D**e en nuestra reunión de "All Pro Dads" esta mañana. Los estudiantes y los padres aprendieron cómo leer juntos no solo ayuda a desarrollar habilidades académicas, sino que también fortalece los vínculos familiares. ¡Gracias a todos por asistir y nos vemos de nuevo el viernes 6 de noviembre a las 7:30 a. m.! ¡SHARK IT!

We had a JAW-some first week at Sandy Elementary!! We are already working hard on being SAFE, KIND, & RESPONSIBLE and having SO MUCH FUN with all of our new friends. Our Sandy Elementary Teachers and Staff are complete SHARKSTARS as they make our school the most FIN-tastic place to be! Have a wonderful weekend and let's get ready for another great week of diving deep into learning - SHARK IT!!!

¡Tuvimos una primera semana increíble en Sandy Elementary! Ya estamos trabajando duro para ser seguros, amables y responsables, y para divertirnos muchísimo con todos nuestros nuevos amigos. ¡Los maestros y el personal de Sandy Elementary son unas verdaderas estrellas (o mejor dicho, "Sharkstars") que hacen de nuestra escuela un lugar fantástico! It's the start of another school year and PTA has some fin-tastic things planned!

Your PTA membership means you can be as involved as you want! Whether that means volunteering at events or just checking emails so you know what's going on. It's up to you! Our meetings are on the second Tuesday of each month in the library. We would love for you to join us!

Welcome Back Sandy Elementary Families! Details for the First Day of School!!!

Dear Sandy Elementary Parents and Guardians,
We are incredibly excited to welcome our students back for the 2026–2027 school year! The summer has flown by, and our teachers and staff have been working hard to prepare for a wonderful year of learning, growth, and community.
Please review the important details below regarding the first day of school:

Date: Monday, August 17th
Start Time: 8:15 AM (Please arrive a few minutes early to find your line up spot in the front grass area of the school!)
Grades: 1st through 5th Grade (Kindergarten families, first day of school will be on WEDNESDAY, Aug. 19th/ Preschool will start Monday, Aug. 24th).
Morning Meeting Spot: All students in grades 1–5 will meet and line up directly in the front of the school building on the grassy area. Staff members will be outside to help guide students to their designated class lines.
Special Note for Opening Day:
To celebrate the start of the year and highlight our amazing community, multiple local news stations are planning on being on-site on Monday morning to cover our opening day live! We are thrilled to showcase our Sandy Elementary spirit to the community. If you plan to take your own photos, please be mindful of the media teams and keep walkways clear so our students can line up safely.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We can't wait to see all of your smiling faces on Monday morning!

Another JAW-some school year comes to a close at Sandy Elementary. Take a moment to listen to our 5th Graders talk about their FIN-tastic experiance at Sandy Elementary. Sandy Elementary is a magical place where students thrive academically and build community while we promote safe, kind and responsible behavior. We LOVE our 5th Graders!! We miss you already, and we hope you visit us often! SHARK IT!!
