Beehive Science & Tech Academy

Beehive Science & Technology Academy is a public charter school, enrolling grades K-12. We are currently enrolling Kindergarten through 12th grade students.

Beehive Science & Technology Academy is an open enrollment, tuition-free public charter school that opened on August 29, 2005, in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Academy distinguishes itself among neighboring educational offerings with its college preparatory program that focuses on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education. The curriculum at BSTA is designed to provide students with a

solid foundation in humanities and social studies as well as math, science, engineering, and technology to prepare them to become responsible and educated members of society who have the skills and understanding to participate and work productively in our increasingly technological, diverse, and multicultural society. In August 2022, we moved to our current location below.

National Composites Week is an annual initiative dedicated to celebrating the many ways composites contribute to the products, structures, and technologies that shape the American manufacturing landscape. Through this initiative, ETC aims not only to increase awareness of composites and advanced manufacturing technologies but also to inspire future engineers by demonstrating the power of innovation, engineering, and the exciting career opportunities available within the composites industry. The event will take place on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at ETC's Center of Excellence in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The initiative is designed for approximately 70 STEM-focused students and educators from Beehive Science and Technology Academy, providing them with a unique opportunity to experience engineering in action, explore advanced manufacturing technologies, and gain insight into career pathways in science, technology, engineering, and composites.

We are so happy to provide this amazing opportunity to Beehive families!

Last year, 3rd grade students practiced this exact idea when they created "Han Solo" in plaster. We find science and learning in every day fun!
