✨ Another year, another renewal! ✨

We are excited to share that Little Homestead Child Care has officially passed our annual renewal inspection! 🎉

Keeping a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for the children in our care is always our top priority. We are proud to continue providing a place where children can learn, explore, play, and grow surrounded by nature, creativity, and care. 🌿❤️

🌞 We kicked off summer the best way we know how—outside with our friends!

June was full of fun, learning, and adventure. We discovered tiny babies in the rock pit, played for hours in the sandbox, and explored the outdoors with curious minds.

Our garden got some special new helpers when we released ladybugs, and the children loved checking on them every day to see where they had wandered.

We also spent time creating heartfelt Father's Day gifts, practicing tracing, and building our fine motor skills through hands-on activities.

Summer at Little Homestead Child Care is all about making memories, exploring nature, learning through play, and enjoying every sunny day together. We can't wait to see what the rest of the season brings! 🌼🐞☀️

☀️ June has already been a busy month at Little Homestead Child Care! ☀️

This month, our assistant teacher brought in 100 ladybugs that we released throughout our garden and wildflower areas. The children have loved searching for them every time we head outside and learning about the important role they play in nature. 🐞🌼

We also spent time creating special Father's Day gifts for the important people in our lives.

And a huge congratulations to our friends who have completed their first year of school! We are so proud of all the growth, learning, and accomplishments we've seen this year. 🎓✨

Life is always busy here at Little Homestead. Between learning, exploring, playing with friends, celebrating milestones, and watching each child grow into their own unique person, there's never a dull moment.

Teacher Summer has officially been with us for one year!

Over the past year, Summer has brought compassion, respect, creativity, and a love of learning to our program. She has made a lasting impact on our little ones, helping them grow while building meaningful relationships with each child and family she works with.

While Summer came to us with years of childcare experience, finding the right fit has allowed her to continue growing as an educator and deepen her understanding of child development. One of the wonderful things about this field is that we are always learning—not just teaching.

Summer has brought so much light, joy, and positivity into our program, and we are incredibly grateful to have her as part of our team. We can't wait to see what the next year brings for her and for our program as we continue to grow together.

Last week we had the coolest surprise — a bee swarm suddenly appeared and decided to settle into one of our trees! 🐝🌳

We had a local beekeeper come out and place a bee box nearby in hopes the bees would safely move in and eventually be transferred to his frames. Since then, we’ve been watching from a safe distance as they slowly made the box their new home.

This turned into such an amazing hands-on learning experience for the children. We revisited our bee knowledge, talked about how important bees are to our environment, gardens, and food supply, and observed their behavior together safely and respectfully.

While we’ll be a little sad to see them go, moments like this are exactly why we love nature-based learning so much. Real life experiences create some of the best learning opportunities. 💛🐝

We’ve been busy soaking up this beautiful weather and getting excited for summer days ahead! ☀️🌿

Our sun shade is officially up, water is always free flowing for hydration, and we are so ready to spend our days outside exploring, creating, and playing together.
