We are super excited about this! Our Student, Abhijit Kalkarni, has written an original song and is submitting it to the NPR, Tiny Desk, music concert series. The Tiny Desk series started something very small now become a big thing. Lots of huge artists play on there as well as smaller, lesser known acts. 
We are so proud of Abhijit for doing this and putting himself out there. Like most of us, we can be a bit self-conscious about our own music. I know he has worked hard to get to where he is now and as you can see in the video, that work has paid off big time!
On top of all of that, Abhijit is a wonderful human being. He is so friendly and always greets you with a smile. He is originally from India, and this song is in his native language. There are subtitles on the video so you can see what he’s saying, and it’s a beautiful song.

I have on a bit of gear purge recently but have also acquired a few goodies. Well, that has done a number on the pedal board so I spent the better part of today completely stripping it down, adding more velcro, soldering a bunch of cables, trying different configurations, rewiring, and organizing. The end result is marvelous!

New Gear Alert! The Nobels ODR-1X! I have owned many, many, many overdrive pedals over the years and I would certainly guess that some of them have been based off of this circuit. With the ODR being one of the OG’s, I realized I’m not sure if I’ve ever played one and if I have, it was probably in the mid 90s. Haha! It sounds phenomenal! Clear, present, touch responsive, sounds like an extension of your amp, and affordable to boot! I think I’m going to enjoy this one! #
