As part of Waterford’s Academic Travel program, a group of Upper School students traveled through Italy, discovering its history, traditions, scenery, and food along the way. Their adventure took them from Rome and Florence to the Bay of Naples and the stunning island of Capri. Students stepped back in time at the Colosseum and Vatican, biked along the ancient Appian Way, and experienced Italian culture firsthand by making fresh pasta and learning the Tarantella. Between sightseeing and new experiences, there was also plenty of time to savor two Italian favorites—pizza and gelato!
