Thank you to our Raider Football Parents for the Chick-fil-A this morning! A nice way to celebrate our final Ironman workout as we start gearing up for spring practice.

Join us in June for a fun day of pickleball to support our Raider Football program.

🗓️ Date: Saturday, June 6, 2026

➡️ Doubles Pickleball Tournament: Round robin followed by single elimination tournament (minimum 6 games played)

📍Location: Sandy Springs Tennis Center, 500 Abernathy Rd., Atlanta, GA 30328

⏰ Time: 9:00 am until 5:00 pm

💲Cost: $80 per person / $160 per team

✅ Spots available: 96

👉 Anyone (including non-football parent/guardians, students) is welcome to join!

🥤Light lunch/sandwiches will be provided

🏈 100% of net proceeds from entry fees go to the Riverwood Football program

2026 Schedule 🔥

Levi Perlstein has committed to play football for Elon University in North Carolina. He was recruited as a nickel/safety for the Phoenix, who compete in the Coastal Athletic Association.

A three-year varsity starter for football, Perlstein led the team in tackles and received all-region football honors in his junior season. He also played for NextGen Academy 7v7 and played one year of basketball and two years of baseball for the Raiders.

An IB Certificate student, Perlstein is a member of Riverwood’s Beta Club and has earned recognition on the Principal’s List Honor Roll.

He chose Elon because it felt like a good fit, with a high-level football program and great academics. Perlstein emphasized the experienced coaching staff, whose guidance will help him develop as a player, and a defense in which he feels he can truly thrive.

Perlstein plans to major in Business Management and Sports Management and looks forward to leveraging the school’s strong connections and internship opportunities.

Brandon Leonard has committed to play football for Davidson College in North Carolina. He was recruited as a corner/safety for the Wildcats, who compete in the Pioneer Football League.

A four-year football player, Leonard also played two years of baseball and ran two years of track for the Raiders. He received all-region football honors in his junior and senior years and currently holds Riverwood’s School Record in the 60-meter dash. Leonard served as team captain on both the football and track teams this year.

He chose Davidson because it felt like a good fit with great academics, a beautiful campus, and the amazing coaches he met during his visit. He plans to major in Media and Film Studies.

For the past couple of weeks Coach Lawhead and Coach Norwood have been doing a great job working out our rising 9th graders. A lot of great things happening off
