We are incredibly proud to share that Los Niños Primero has been recognized by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners for 26 years of service to the children and families of our community.

This recognition represents much more than years of history. It represents every child we have supported, every family that has placed their trust in us, and every team member, volunteer, ally, and collaborator who has been part of this journey.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Commissioner Bob Ellis District 2, Dianne Fries and everyone who made this recognition possible.

There is something powerful about watching young people discover their ability to lead 💛

El liderazgo en la juventud no comienza cuando tienen todas las respuestas; comienza cuando encuentran el valor para levantar su voz, tomar iniciativa, escuchar a otros y entender que sus acciones pueden hacer una diferencia 🌱✨

Este fin de semana dimos la bienvenida a una nueva generación de Youth Ambassadors, jóvenes que comienzan un camino lleno de experiencias, aprendizajes y oportunidades para crecer no solo como líderes, sino también como personas.

Porque cuando confiamos en nuestros jóvenes y les damos espacios para participar, también les estamos diciendo algo muy importante: tu voz importa, tus ideas importan y tú tienes algo que aportar💫

Estamos emocionados por acompañarlos en todo lo que viene 💛

Youth leadership doesn't begin when they have all the answers; it begins when they find the courage to raise their voice, take initiative, listen to others, and understand that their actions can make a difference🌱✨

This weekend, we welcomed a new generation of Youth Ambassadors, young people embarking on a journey full of experiences, learning, and opportunities to grow not only as leaders but also as individuals.

Because when we trust our young people and give them spaces to participate, we are also telling them something very important: your voice matters, your ideas matter, and you have something to contribute💫

Strong boards don’t just support the mission, they help create the conditions for it to succeed.

This weekend, the Los Niños Primero Board came together for our annual Board Retreat. This was an opportunity to strengthen our effectiveness through Board training, reflect on our progress, and look ahead at how we can continue advancing LNP’s Strategic Plan.

A key focus of the retreat was identifying the unique “superpowers” each Board member brings through our Time, Talent, Treasure & Networks (TTTN), and considering where those strengths can create the greatest strategic and community impact.

Our discussions reinforced an important distinction: Staff leads ex*****on. The Board governs, enables, connects, and helps steward the strategy.

From applying professional expertise and opening doors to new relationships, to championing LNP in the community and strengthening financial sustainability, every Board member has a different and unique way to contribute and every contribution matters.

We’re grateful for a Board committed to continued learning, strong governance, and using its collective strengths to help LNP expand opportunities for Latino children and families across metro Atlanta. 💙
