High Schoolers finished out the Spring Semester this year with an epic day at arcade (thank you, Big Play!) The afternoon was filled with exciting games, joyful laughter, and a sprinkle of friendly rivalry!

This Spring, Mr. Campbell's biology class dove into hands-on learning by dissecting large female frogs 🐸. We're so proud of our brave students for embracing this activity with curiosity and enthusiasm every step of the way! 🌱

A note from Coach D, our wonderful Physical Education teacher: "Second semester fun in PE was full of energy, teamwork, and growth! Please enjoy a few photos from the second half of the semester. For their last chemistry class in May, students learned more about acids and bases with Mr. Campbell. In Mr. Campbell's own words: "When we think of things that cause strong corrosive reactions, we generally think of acids. However, this demo shows that bases are equally powerful!"

The Elementary students had an amazing time at Somerby Sandy Springs Senior Living Center! Students and seniors connected through fun games and challenging puzzles. 🤝🧩 Thank you, kids, for making a positive impact in the community beyond the classroom, and for Somerby for welcoming our students with warmth and joy!

**Cumberland Academy of Georgia Announces New Head of School**

ATLANTA, GA – Cumberland Academy of Georgia is excited to announce Jennifer St. John as its new Head of School, succeeding Debbi Scarborough, who transitions to Founding Director to focus on strategic growth and the College at Cumberland.

Ms. St. John previously served as Associate Head of School and brings two decades of leadership experience in K-12 education. Her role ensures a smooth transition while Ms. Scarborough continues daily collaboration with her.

"Jennifer has a proven record in driving positive change and fostering exceptional teams," said Scarborough. "I look forward to our continued partnership shaping the future together."

With a Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas and extensive experience in program development, Ms. St. John advocates for the neurodivergent community alongside being a mother to an adult son with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Cumberland Academy empowers independent neurodiverse students through strong academics and social skills within a supportive environment.
