The Film Club is hosting a school-wide Film Festival. All Sherwood students are invited to submit an original short movie to the competition. We will be judging two categories: documentary and narrative. For each category, there is a $100 first-place prize and a $50 second-place prize. If you have made any movies as projects for your classes, you could enter those in the competition. You can also enter movies that you have made just for fun outside of school. Submissions are due by Friday, March 25. There are posters in the halls with info or you can see Mrs. Lock in K169.

Day 4: One Sherwood Cultural Celebration Week

Marinera Nortena is a cultural dance from the nortena side of Peru. It is a graceful, romantic couples dance that uses handkerchiefs . It is a very elegant dance where a woman flirts with a man with mischief and cunning, while he gallantly accompanies her and finally conquers her. This dance is a source of national pride and one of the most valuable samples of Peruvian folklore.

Come join us tomorrow for the final day of our Cultural Celebration. Viva Latino - Sherwood’s Latin Dance Group will be performing a Salsa Cabaret. 💃🏾
