Ellen Abramson Student Success

Ellen Abramson Student Success Resourceful youth opportunity advisor, empowering high school students on their journey to college and beyond. All students deserve to be celebrated.

💡I specialize in helping high school students discover opportunities, feel empowered, and successfully position themselves for college admissions and personal growth.

💡My passion is helping students explore their passions, achieve success, learn from failure, navigate twists and turns, and enjoy their journey from high school to college and beyond.

💡My tagline is "Enjoy Your Journey" because I

personally believe that the most important lesson in high school is to "ENJOY it."

💡I chose a lightbulb for my logo to symbolize the "aha" lightbulb moments along the high school journey of self-discovery. I hope my students can say "aha" out loud multiple times as they explore their interests and seek out opportunities.

🎉The confetti on my Facebook cover represents celebration (with a pop of color). Success comes in many forms and looks "uniquely different" on everyone.

📌I have carefully crafted a bulletin board of personalized services that can be tailored to any grade level - I do advocate starting early. Services include the following topics:
1️⃣ College Admissions Deep Dive: Ask me about my Cake Talk. The process is messy and rewarding. 🍰
2️⃣ Interests Exploration: I am a big advocate of using Community Resources. There is a lot of opportunity in your own backyard. I enjoy connecting students with experiences and resources they aren't even aware of.
3️⃣ Communication Development: Contact your All Star Team. They are waiting for you to reach out.
4️⃣ Self-Promotion: Advocating for yourself works wonders. Keep track of your experiences - you will need to reference them many times as you go through high school and especially when filling out college/scholarship/job applications.
5️⃣ Interview Preparation: That seat at the table can belong to you. Be prepared, don't be scared.
6️⃣ Future Planning: Lots to think about. I'm a seasoned soundboard and love to brainstorm.

✅ For the past 8 years, I have been empowering high school friends and family (including my own 3 children) to self-discover their passions, communicate with confidence, form connections, use school/community resources, and proactively prepare themselves for the college admissions process. Due to increased community interest, I am expanding my offerings to help more students.
✅ Before my empowerment era, I uncovered marketing insights and managed research projects for Fortune 500 companies for 15 years.
✅ Think of me as a Chief Opportunity Officer (COO), marketing enthusiast, and professional researcher, who loves to champion student success.

💫 I am a firm believer that starting to explore interests and learning about the college admissions process early will give students opportunity to finish stronger.
💫I promote trial and error, embracing community resources, and self-advocating.
💫 I love when students consider "the road less traveled."

🔃 I am not a substitute for your school counselor or your teachers. Your high school offers many resources, get to know them all - I can advise you on how to do that.
🔃 I am not a financial planner. I will defer college affordability questions to the experts. I welcome the opportunity to discuss applying for scholarships - every dollar helps.
🔃 I am happy to advise you on a standardized testing plan, but I do not personally offer test preparation.
🔃 I will not fill out your college applications for you. I will help you discover your superpower to do that yourself.

💰Every student is unique, I offer hourly rates and custom service packages.

📧 Please contact me at [email protected] to talk about how I can help your student achieve success on their journey from high school to college and beyond AND enjoy doing it.

High school is full of relationship-rich experiences and forming a connection with your school counselor is one of them.

💡Your school counselor is one of your biggest advocates and has a wealth of knowledge to help set students up for success. Your counselor wants you to thrive!

💡Your school counselor can assist you with academic planning, post-secondary planning, high school navigation, and can advise you on many school opportunities and resources.

💡Your school counselor will also be writing one of your post-secondary recommendation letters.

If you don’t know your school counselor, it’s time to introduce yourself and say “hello.” You will be happy you did!

Enjoy your journey. 💫
