We are a tuition-free, public charter school serving EK-8 students throughout Sandusky, OH. Monroe Preparatory Academy prides itself on having a rigorous award-winning and accredited academic program that exceeds Ohio state standards to provide children a strong academic foundation and prepare students for college and career. We observe an extended school day in order to maximize learning time in

each grade level. We offer the stability of caring and consistent staff and full day Kindergarten with an early entrance option for students who turn five years old before January 1.

Happy Monday Morning! Due to a brief power surge, the fire alarm has gone off at the building. Students who were in the building at the time were evacuated and all others are remaining in their cars and on their buses until the Fire Department resets the alarm and gives us the all clear to return to the building. Everyone is safe and SFD is on scene.

Ms. Zankel's 8th graders practiced building teamwork skills through nonverbal communication today. Nonverbal communication is important because it helps us better understand others, express ourselves clearly, and interact successfully in social, school, and workplace situations.
It was amazing to watch such a normally talkative group of students be successful without making a sound!

Our first day was filled with lots of smiles, laughter, and fun! We are looking forward to another great school year!

Kindergarten Preview Day at Monroe Prep! ❤️💛
What a special day welcoming our newest Kinder Cavs to Monroe Preparatory Academy! Our staff was so excited to meet our little Cavaliers and begin building relationships with each of them.
We also loved getting the opportunity to meet their wonderful families and officially welcome everyone into the Monroe Prep family. From exploring the school to meeting new faces, memories were made that we hope will last a lifetime!
We are so excited for all the learning, laughter, friendships, and growth ahead. Here’s to an amazing year together, Kinder Cavs!
