We are so excited to launch the 2026-2027 school year under our new theme: "Level Up: Next Generation!"
As we look back on the incredible memories and achievements from last year, we are ready to build on that strong foundation and step into the next generation of our collective success. This year, our focus is to LEVEL UP learning every day by staying committed to what matters most:

Calling all 3rd- 5th grade girls!!! This fall, we are offering a Girls On The Run after-school program. Join Mrs. Kirby, Mrs. Miller, Ms. Malzahn & Ms. McIntosh on Tuesdays & Thursdays. Girls On The Run is an amazing program focused on building relationships, managing emotions, resolving conflicts, and building confidence. The program ends with a 5k celebration run! We will have so much fun training and growing resilience along the way!

Open House & Kindergarten Orientation were a SUCCESS!
We loved welcoming our tiniest penguins into the building and giving them a chance to practice for their very first day of school! We can’t wait to see our penguins filling our halls Monday morning! Remember, the first day of school is a staggered start for kindergarten & preschool students. All of our 1st–5th grade penguins should attend school Monday!

It's time for another Welcome Wednesday! Help us welcome our new Kindergarten IA, Mrs. Coker.

I am thrilled to join the Seven Pines community and to make a positive impact each day for the younger Penguins!

I am a graduate of VCU, where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications. Over the past 12 years, my passion has been caring for children, with 9 of those years working as a dedicated ABA Therapist for children and teens on the autism spectrum. I feel grateful to nurture and improve the lives of my clients and their families by fostering independence, teaching daily living skills, and being an advocate for their social and emotional needs.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband and son doing anything together outdoors. You can find us fishing, at the beach, tending our garden, or just out enjoying nature!

We’re officially in the last week of summer, and the excitement is building! We can’t wait to welcome our Seven Pines Penguins back on Thursday for Kindergarten Orientation and Back to School Night!

It's time for another Welcome Wednesday! Let's welcome our new Kindergarten IA, Ms. De'yanna Seoul. Ms. De’ya, is a mother, wellness facilitator, and creative with a background in theater and the performing arts. She has nurtured community by supporting mothers, children, and families through organizations serving communities worldwide and later taught wellness throughout LAUSD. She finds joy in nature, celebrating life’s special moments, meditation/ yoga, and traveling to experience new places, people, and cultures. She believes that some of life’s most meaningful transformations happen through intentional moments of stillness, play, and community. Please help welcome her to our 7-Pines community!

This week we are welcoming two well-known and loved staff members into new positions/ roles! Ms. Taft joined our Seven Pines family last year as a part-time Exceptional Education Teacher; this year, she is joining us FULL TIME! Mrs. Davis is changing roles from permanent substitute to Federal Pre-K Instructional Assistant, working alongside Ms. Blake with the littles. We are so excited to have these two fabulous ladies in new roles as they continue to serve our Seven Pines community.

*Tea and Treats with Mrs. Tavel- August 14th from 3:00- 5:00 pm
*Kindergarten Open House & Orientation- August 20th from 9:00- 10:30 am
*1st- 5th Grade Open House- August 20th from 4:00- 6:00 pm
**August 24th: First day of school- first half of Kindergarten students and ALL 1st- 5th grade students
**August 25th: first day for the second half of Kindergarten students and the second day for ALL 1st- 5th grade students
