With your agriculture experience you have yet to build or produce your own food to feed the hungry mouths of your own kind in this country, not to think of your own kind in other countries. Not to think over our people help America to send relief and feel poverty abroad to make friends in foreign countries. Where do we after 400 years still have to depend on America to make our own clothes, and to grow our own foods, the houses and to throw it away for us and to have at a high profit for themselves when we should be trying to do just the same thing ourselves and our people and save that profit. How foolish this appears to the outside world of our kind with the educational training of the white race, we should be operating factories and textile mills throughout the country. Making and manufacturing our own people's needs. We should be engaging in importing and exporting in commerce and trade with the nations of the earth. They are anxiously awaiting us to move in this direction! You are a foolish people to depend upon other governments to furnish all of our needs when we have the knowledge and know how to do something for ourselves. The American government is torn when it comes to solving the problems and improving the conditions of the so-called negro and influences her relationships with any foreign government in Africa and Asia."
