8th grader Maddy May represented the TJ Elder FFA chapter as a area officer candidate in the area 4 officer elections. We are pleased to announce that Maddy has been elected to serve as one of the two junior representatives on the 2020-2021 area 4 officer team. Maddy will spend the next year working to assist in events at the area level as part of this position. Area 4 includes 25 counties throughout the eastern part of central Georgia. Maddy is also the first area officer ever to be elected from Washington County.

Chapter members had a blast at our monthly meeting. As we started our Ag olympics contest with a barrel race relay.

Everyone had a blast at the Central Region Rally for area 4 today. Not only did students here from army veteran and owner of comfort farms but they also worked with the area 4 officers on team building and leadership. The students also had free time to go to the pool and canoe in he lake. During the team competitions our students performed well with the winning middle school Lumberjack relay team and the winning middle school Obstacle course team.
