📘✨ Yearbook Distribution Day! ✨📘

Today our students officially received their 2025–2026 yearbooks and spent time together flipping through pages, reliving memories, and of course… hunting down friends for signatures!

There was lots of laughter, plenty of “Wait, let me see that page!” moments, and a whole lot of passing yearbooks around.

This year’s yearbook turned out absolutely phenomenal, and we are so proud of the hard work our yearbook group put into making it special. They captured the memories, moments, and spirit of this school year so well.

A huge shoutout to our yearbook group for creating something our students will hold onto for years to come!

It was a great day filled with memories, friends, and a year worth noting. 💛🖤

☀️ Freshman Picnic This Friday! ☀️

This Friday during the school day, our freshmen will be heading to Chandler Park for a fun and relaxing day outside!

Students will enjoy lawn games, music, and time to hang out with friends while getting some fresh air and sunshine before the school year wraps up.

We will be providing lunch for all students, including:
🌭 Hot dogs
🥔 Chips
🍪 Cookies
💧 Bottled water

Students will be transported by bus to and from the park and will return to campus during 6th hour. Dismissal will be at normal time as usual.

We are excited to give our freshmen a fun day to enjoy together!

We’re excited to announce that our Yearbook Distribution & Signing Party is happening on Thursday, May 14!

A limited number of yearbooks are still available for $50 (cash or check made payable to the school) and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

✈️🌍 Teacher Appreciation Week was one for the books!

This week, we had the joy of taking our incredible staff on a little “Trip Around the World” as a small way to say THANK YOU for everything they do for our students each and every day.

From breakfast treats and special lunches to belly-laughing surprises and fun challenges, every stop along the journey was made possible by the generosity of our amazing community.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who donated, supported, and helped make this week so special for our teachers and staff. Your kindness reminds us just how blessed we are to be surrounded by such an incredible community.

Special thanks to:
❤️ Ashley Canterbury for the amazing jambalaya, cornbread, and delicious desserts
❤️ Hillspring Church for donating an entire meal for our Italy stop with delicious lasagna
❤️ la Madeleine (Tulsa Hills) for the delicious French pastries
❤️ Texas Roadhouse (Tulsa Hills) for the loaded baked potatoes
❤️ JJ for helping us bring the USA stop home with hamburgers on the grill

And to our staff.... thank you for showing up, pouring into students, and making our school such a special place every single day. We appreciate you more than words can say.

Today we celebrated a whole lot of hard work, growth, leadership, and excellence at our Awards Assembly! 🎉👏

Every teacher recognized students in each of their classes with:
🏆 A Scholarship Award for the highest grade
📈 An Evolution Award for growth and improvement

We also honored students earning Superintendent Honor Roll (all A’s) and Principal Honor Roll (A’s & B’s), students who were this year’s character based Sandite Hero honorees, and more. With hundreds of students recognized today, it was a reminder of just how many incredible things are happening in our halls each day!

Happy National Principal’s Day to our very own JJ Smith!

Around here, we’re convinced one JJ just isn’t enough so our office may or may not have “solved” that problem by printing 100 tiny versions of him and hiding them around the school for everyone to find! Cowboy JJ. Top Hat JJ. Tie-dye JJ. Beanie JJ. Let’s just say… leadership looks good in every style.

In all seriousness, we are grateful for a principal who leads with heart, humor, and grit every single day. We appreciate you more than words (and definitely more than 100 paper cutouts) can say.

From first sketch to final masterpiece… look at this growth!

Our Art I students recently completed a “Before & After” portrait project—comparing their fall semester work to what they’re creating now… and WOW.

The difference is incredible. What started as a simple pre-assessment has turned into detailed, confident, and beautifully developed portraits.

This kind of growth doesn’t just happen, it takes practice, patience, and a whole lot of effort. These students have put in the work, and it absolutely shows.

A special shoutout to Mr. Keyes, whose guidance and instruction help make this kind of growth possible. 👏

We love seeing creativity come to life like this and watching students realize just how much they’re capable of.

🎉 Gold Week Field Day – Tuesday!

Freshman students have the opportunity to attend a Field Day during 2nd hour on Tuesday as part of Gold Week!

🎟️ Tickets are $2 and can be purchased from any teacher.

Important:

Students will check in with their 2nd hour teacher first
Then may go to the field if they have a ticket

Activities include:
Inflatables, volleyball, co****le, spikeball, and more!

Concessions available:

Candy, chips, drinks — $2
Sno Cones — $4 🍧

It should be a fun opportunity for students to enjoy time outside with their classmates. If your student would like to participate, please remind them to bring $2!
