We are so proud of these Sandites for spreading kindness in our community! 💛🖤

Pratt’s Kindness Club was busy spreading kindness this morning! 🍂💛 We started creating fall placemats for our friends in assisted living and can’t wait to brighten their day with a little handmade kindness!

Kindness Club meets Wednesday mornings in the library, and all Pratt 4th and 5th graders are welcome to join us. A big thank you to the Sand Springs Education Foundation that provided the supplies last year for our club! Come help us make a difference—one act of kindness at a time! 💛🍁

This week, our community celebrated the opening of the Sandite Athletic Annex!

Located at 101 W 38th St, this transformed facility provides much-needed additional practice space for Sandite Athletics, including volleyball and basketball, and creates a versatile new space for district and community events.

Improvements include a new collegiate-size gym floor, an interior and exterior remodel, and expanded parking. Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate this exciting investment in our students, schools, and community.

Mrs. Lyons’ third-grade students at Garfield STEAM Academy are bringing books to life for younger Sandites! These students are recording audiobooks for first graders to enjoy using microphones, audio recorders, Yoto Players, and DIY audio cards.

With this classroom project, third graders build reading fluency and communication skills, and first graders get an engaging way to practice reading with the voices of older students they know and admire.

Angus Valley Elementary fourth graders recently completed the first of five trips to STARBASE Oklahoma! STARBASE a Department of Defense STEAM education program that brings science, technology, engineering, and math to life through hands-on learning.

During their first visit, students jumped right into STEAM with liquid volume experiments, an introduction to Bernoulli’s Principle, density exploration, and the Engineering Design Process.

Over the course of their five visits, students will continue exploring physics, chemistry, engineering, robotics, coding, and more. We can't wait to see what they discover next!

A new chapter for Sand Springs Middle School is officially underway!

Yesterday, students, families, staff, and community members gathered for a ribbon cutting and open house celebrating the new Sand Springs Middle School. While students have already been learning in the building since the start of the school year, the event gave our community a chance to explore their new school and celebrate this milestone together.

Guests toured the two-story building, including its new classrooms, welcoming courtyard, and cafeteria, which was specially designed and hardened to provide storm protection for students and staff.

Sand Springs Middle School was made possible by Sand Springs voters through the 2024 Future-Ready Sandites Student Investment Plan. Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate—and to our community for investing in the future of Sandite students!

Congratulations to Ashley Wise, Tulsa Boys' Home Coordinator for Sand Springs Public Schools, on being named one of TulsaKids Magazine's Impactful Women of the 918!

Ashley is beginning her fifth year at Tulsa Boys’ Home and her 32nd year as an Oklahoma educator. We are proud to have her on our team and grateful for the difference she makes in the lives of students every day.

- ECEC Pickup: 1:45 - 2:15 p.m.
- Elementary Sites: 2 p.m.
- Secondary Sites: 3 p.m.
