Sand Springs Indian Education is excited to host a year-long Cherokee Language Course for our community & those surrounding us!

Join us Friday, September 4, and Saturday, September 5, for the Inter-Tribal Powwow, celebrating Native American culture and traditions from across the United States.

Enjoy traditional dancing, singing and drumming as Indigenous people gather to honor ancestral traditions. Dancers will also compete for top honors and more than $35,000 in prize money.

Admission is free for competitors and spectators. Please bring your own seating. No pets are allowed.

The Osage Nation Language Department opens registration for the 2026-2027 community classes! Virtual and in-person courses begin on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, for all ages. Various levels are offered, including Children’s Classes, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Orthography, Reading & Writing, and more. All classes are free of charge.

Join us on Friday, August 7, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at the Osage Nation Outdoor Health Complex in Pawhuska for a free community event open to everyone.
